What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My daughter and I are about are getting ready to head down to Houston, Texas to visit my wife’s family for Christmas. She has flown before, but I haven’t flown with her, so this should be an experience. My wife is driving down with her parents so she is toting these.

Sorry for the old pics. I didn’t have the time to make new ones.
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Nice choice for Christmas Brett, hope you all have a lovely time, and good luck with the journey :)

Jack, I've seen you post this several times before. It appeals to me a lot simply because it looks like it has served you well over the years. An old veteran.

Thanks a lot Bob, I've carried knives a bit like this most of my life, but this one is actually quite new to me, a present from my good friend Duncan (Campbellclanman). There are pics of some similar knives, and more of this one - a Needham of Sheffield NAAFI knife here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1094371-Military-Clasp-Knives :thumbup

A Dan Graves fixed blade and a Joel Chamblin wharncliffe lockback whittler are with me today, have a great Sunday.

Thanks for the complement, I give my lovely wife all the credit, as she was the photographer on this shot :)

~ Ron
That's great Ron that she's involved. My wife just snickers when I'm "posing" my knives, she doesn't fully appreciate the "art". She especially snickers at the shots with kitties, doggies and babies. I on the other hand think those can be the best shots!

Nice, and by the way I have to blame you for my (more or less) recent Bark River acquisitions :).

These two for the day

And in the evening I'm visiting friends and we'll cook dinner, so my pocketable kitchen-knife substitute will get some use. You all know how frustrating it is using your friends' "knives" :D.

Beautiful knives and a great pic, Kris. That Chamblin lock back whittler is a work of art.

Those Bark River knives look great Sturzi, enjoy your evening my friend

Kris, you know you really want a gnarly old clasp knife! ;) :D

Please accept my (almost sincere) apology...:D

Isn't that Bird & Trout an extremely useful knife? Most of my Barkies are field knives, but I find that I use my B&T just as much in the kitchen and around the house.

Heading off to have Sunday supper with my family and then some early gift exchanging with my wife's family in the evening.
