What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Sturzi..... Wow.....There's that Black and White Ebony again. Great knife!

And the Bird and Trout...... very nice!

Nice, and by the way I have to blame you for my (more or less) recent Bark River acquisitions :).

I have been fortunate enough to view Smithhammer's Barkies on that "other" forum. He does have an excellent... and enviable..... collection of Bark Rivers.

Fascinating old advert there, is it some manner of sealant?

Just so happened to be lugging this one around today..

It is Will, described as a 'jointing paste' in the September 1957 issue of Practical Motorist & Motor Cyclist ;)

You got a beauty of a Forum Knife there my friend

Two beeeautiful BF 2014 knives guys!

Thank you sir, that's a lovely Washington Jack you have :)

Appreciate that Jack, I'm really pleased with my Forum Knife, can't fault it!

Those magazines look like they could offer a lot of interesting nostalgia potential for Christmas :thumbup: The cars of 50+ years back may have appeared a lot more individual and atmospheric than most of them today, but they certainly seemed to need endless maintenance and tending. I remember when I was small it was often debatable if cars would complete a long journey without roadside 'fixing' That kind of tradition I don't miss! The cover of the mag interests me, just think how long it must've taken to draw that picture for a cover! The two eager youngsters look identical twins though....Now it's a couple of minutes shooting plus a load of time 'shopping' the pics, big change.

As for knives, no contest, the Traditionals of both today and yore rule my roost:D

I picked the magazine up in an anyiques shop yesterday. The cover really appealed to me too, I love the bold colours and clean lines, and it kind of remibded me of some of the artwork GEC use. The inside of the mag is a mine of information, with some great adverts, and some stuff that's hilarious :)

Been totin this old HSB Barlow today.

I think that's a beautiful knife my friend

Those Bark River knives look great Sturzi, enjoy your evening my friend

Thanks, I did. And the B&T did very well :).

Please accept my (almost sincere) apology...:D

Isn't that Bird & Trout an extremely useful knife? Most of my Barkies are field knives, but I find that I use my B&T just as much in the kitchen and around the house.

Indeed, I didn't expect it when ordering it. This is a crazy slicer and so light, I often carry it on normal days (office job=no heavy-duty stuff :)).
And no hard feelings :D (I'm pretty certain there will be even more in the future).

I didn't even know B&W ebony existed before seeing this one (I knew there was ebony with lighter streaks, but not this extreme), in the end it was the deciding factor to place the order.

Beautiful examples of both knives Jack:thumbup: and thank you for the kind words on my Mauser knife:D, I knew someone around here used to EDC them.

Thank you very much Dave  I was very nice to see your Mauser, mine is still going strong after over 32 years :)

Wish I could linger longer with y'all, but today is pretty hectic getting ready to head home for the holidays. Wanted to share this lovely Shapleighs Diamond Edge with everyone. Screaming sharp full blades and gorgeous bone.
