What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Paul and Todd, unbelievable examples of the 31 pattern.

Todd, I'm going to ride your coattails here a bit. I LOVE the #11031SH. One of my favorite patterns as well:thumbup:

The one with the EO notch is a 1977 and the other two are 1971's. A noticeable difference from early production versus later on in the 70's. The early ones where thinner frame and cover wise with a great swedge and the later ones were thicker and they eliminated the swedge. Also the earlier shields had the inner circle around CASE.

This one for me today 1971, a gift from my Dad...

R8shell, very nice Lambs Foot, I was just looking at Jacks in horn (now I can't find it) and have always been interested in this knife, great to have 2 endorsements.

Monday. We're in the home stretch :)

An older picture. Imagine if you will, some patina on the blade:

Nice 63, one of my favorite Case patterns

Pete

Very nice EDC knives Pete, I really appreciate the kind words about my 63 case. You inspired me to carry my peanut today.

Still a beautiful lineup of Case 70s, Paul! At least the covers are shade appropriate. Frankly, I love looking at these 1970s Case knives!

I carried my antique yellow sheepsfoot. Took this pic a few hours ago. Its raining in Minnesota in late December .

Paul, thank you for the great info and comparison photos on the 31 pattern Case. I was aware of the difference in thickness and the difference in the shields. I was not aware of the differences in the swedge. :)

Paul, amazing! You are only increasing my desire for these blades. Did you do the EO yourself, thought you said that at one time. I love the swedge... never saw that before. Need one now. :D

Todd, I did add the EO. I like yours as the Walnut appears darker than mine:thumbup:

@ Perry, Dave and Ron, thank you for the compliments Gentleman:thumbup:

Nice pics Scott

Thanks, Jack. I'm carrying the blood red Diamond Jack again today. I've really enjoyed the feel of the deep peach seed jigging. And the long clip is very easy to deploy with the nail nick so far down the blade. A pull of 4-5 out of 10.

The nativity display is 50 years old. A lot of Decembers... Somewhere St. Joe lost an index finger. Being a carpenter, it was probably occupational. But could have been one of those big antique pruners Waynorth collects!

Oops! And I'm carrying these two today :)

I'm fortunate to have these in my collection. And honestly, I could get by the rest of my life with just these 2 knives!

Very nice Scott, hopefully the Nativity Scene and that beautiful Diamond Jack are here for at least another 50 years.

Nice to see it getting used:)

I imagine the majority of those Ivory beauties are gathering dust in safes...!!

Sam

It's by far my most used knife, traditional or modern. It just wants to be in my hand for some reason :) Hope you're doing well Sam, have a happy and safe holiday!

I carried the 194OT today;

An old picture. I have misplaced my SD card for the camera so no new photo to be had.. :(

Me too I reckon Scott. I'm going to carry them again today anyway :)

+1

The size of the 77 feels just right, not too small, not too large. And I'm still acting like a kid, "recharging" the sunbrite handles by holding it as close to the sun as I can with arms out stretched, then finding a dark place to watch it glow.:o:D
