What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I don't often carry this knife because of its immense sentimental value, but I decided to bust it out since I'll just be in my office today. This Schrade Uncle Henry was the first knife I was given when I got my totin' chip. It was given to me by my grandmother some 20 odd years ago. I still remember how proud she was to give it to me proclaiming that "They had that on one the top shelf! Behind lock and key!" and how proud I was to have it.

In my teen years, I abused the hell out of it, bent the tip, neglected it (and it's significance), and eventually lost it. About 3 years ago, I was thinking about my Grandma, and I decided to go on a quest to find it knowing that I'd seen it in a box of crap from highschool in one of the several moves. After about a week of searching, I found it, bent the clip blade back into shape, re formed the tip on a belt sander and sharpened it up. Still as functional as the day I got it! Definitely an old friend.

99% of the clip bladed 15s are bareheaded, and all of the Charlows. That one is from the first style of long pull 15s.

Awesome to know this. Thank you for the info as I'm new to the traditionals as well but am amassing a collection pretty quickly, thanks mostly to all of the great pictures you guys all post.

Carrying it again today!

Amazing stuff guys. Been busting my hump with work and haven't had much chance to check in. Nothing fancy today, but still some smooth buttery goodness

Beautiful knives, Kris.

Kris, those are beauties. I love Rick's knives, and I agree he does the tapered tang right.

Kris, that's the best looking dogleg jack in the business too, for my opinion.

Great-looking pair Kris

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words, Rick builds a great knife.

My wife and I are taking a few days off to celebrate our anniversary and paint our daughters room(rainforest theme). These two are with me on this gorgeous winter day,

Awesome duo LC!! I love that smooth feel of yellow Delrin.

Thanks Arizona! Very nice Peanut yourself. I love yellow delrin as well. I think the only delrin or acrylic I dont like is the stuff that tries to look like something else for instance jigged delrin. But the smooth stuff just has its own special appeal and isn't trying to fool anybody.

Happy Anniversary to you and Chelsea! Have fun painting the nursery!

Thanks much r8shell and Gary, and beautiful weather today to boot!

Happy anniversary!

Luckily I only have to move the furniture, as paint and I are mortal enemies.

Have a great day everyone, and let your loved ones know it tomorrow!
