Sorry, for the slow responses, but I took my wife out on a belated Valentine's date and got in late.
Gary &
Gevonvich - I was lucky enough to pick this one up on the Exchange last week. It's 3 1/2" closed with CPM 154 blades and springs (blades at 60RC), stainless liners, shield and pins. Yellow canvas over G10 covers. I've been on Jared's email list for some time, but always too slow when he posts new knives for sale. That said, I was excited to finally acquire one of his knives, and especially a wharncliffe trapper. What else can I tell you about it? The fit & finish are extraordinary... this one's put together like a swiss watch.
Sean - I'm probably not the best person to ask about Scotch as I'm far from an expert. The only advice I'd be comfortable providing you would be to drink in moderation and try different types and brands to see what you prefer. As a general rule, the older it is - the more expensive and desirable it usually is. I believe I've got a couple bottles of Macallan (12 & 15 year old), as well as, a bottle of 15 year old Balvenie in my photo along with a couple bottles of Bourbon. My preferences tend to lean more to Speyside distillers, as evidenced by the Macallan and Balvenie bottles in the photo. Single Malts seem to be all the rage, but I wouldn't discount good blended whiskies either. In my opinion, you can spend a lot more, but it's hard to beat Johnny Walker Black Label at any price point. Again, I'm far from an expert or connoisseur though, so please don't rely too heavily on my advice. Truth be told, I actually prefer a good Kentucky Bourbon to Scotch, but despite the bottles in the photo, drink very little of anything these days.
Primble - Thank you for the compliment on the Oeser, and rest easy as I had only a single glass of Knob Creek with dinner.

I thought the light playing through a few bottles might make for a nice backdrop, but obviously lack your skills to produce a really fine photo. I enjoyed seeing your photo of the sheepsfoot Charlow and was happy to know that it got a bit of pocket time today.
