Gifted this Lloyd in 52100 and Sambar stag to a friend the other night, he always asks to see what knives I am carrying and wanted help picking one out.

Have a great Sunday!

Kris - the Halfrich Rounder is beautiful and the sheath is equally wonderful; but both are surpassed by your generosity in gifting the stag Lloyd. I'm sure your friend must've been thrilled.

Some fantastic pics today folks

The Vendetta is absolutely stunning, Jack! A fine catch!!

Thanks Gev, I hope to get some better pics soon  The weather here turned pretty rotten here today! :grumpy:

Enjoy your trip, and don't forget to take lots of photos, please!

I don't know what happened to the weather here today! Shortly before we arrived at Jodrell Bank (http://www.jodrellbank.net/), after a 2 hour drive, the sky darkened, the heavens opened, and it absolutely poured it down, with the rain quickly turning to sleet, and then to snow! After a crisis meeting in the car park, we decided to return another day, and headed for home via one of my favourite pubs. After a great lunch (tomato soup, chilli with hand-cut chips (fat fries), chocolate cake with coconut ice-cream, and 3 pints of imperial stout in my case), we set off back over the hills nursing aching bellies

Jack, I love the dashboard pic! Sorry to hear the weather went sour on your day trip, looks to be a pretty awesome observatory. That Vendetta knife posted earlier looks quite interesting, nice find!

Kris, awesome gift for your friend! Lovely carry today too.

Andi, I think your scout is one of my favorites that appear around these parts, beautiful color on those covers

I have been carrying this 77 Barlow since it arrived. The seeds are safflower (squirrels don't like these seeds) and the scoop was turned from plum on a lathe. This photo is from yesterday.

Thanks Perry, the mark side ain't too shabby either.

Boy howdy, not too shabby... what an understatement! That one's really tickling my fancy. Stunner, for sure.
I really like the looks of the swedge, too, but I am curious to learn if it makes the blade more difficult to open with a "pinch grip" instead of having to use the nick. What do you say to that?

Thanks Duane :) The weather spoiled things a bit, but it was still a nice trip. I've been after an old Vendetta for ages, and scooped that one up on Friday :)

Please, let's keep this thread just to actual knife content. Trips and updates belong in the lounge.

Today I was carrying a drop point handmade with olive wood hartkapf . the pics don't do it justice .

Man that's a nice piece, it's nice seeing some different for a change instead of the same old stuff

Thanks puukkoman. It can be pinched open but not sure if it's possible when wearing gloves. I live in SoCal and don't wear gloves...
At first I wasn't sure if I'd like the wharnie blade but now I love it. Initially wanted the sheepsfoot but was too late to pull the trigger and only the wharnie was still available. I feel the sheepsfoot along with the longer barlow bolster made the knife look like it had too much steel going on. The clip blade and wharnie gave it a more balanced look. But hey that's just my opinion and everyone has one. Sorry, don't mean to offend the sheepsfoot lovers! I like em too myself but maybe just not on the 77's. I actually early reserved the new SFO 15's with sheepsfoot. Ok I'll stop rambling here. Have a good Sunday everyone!

Today I was out & about down in Center City, for a meeting and to run a few errands (had a chance to stop by I. Goldberg, the Army/Navy store, which is always fun! :) ), so I made sure to cover all my bases. These three very capable tools came with me.

Then, when I returned home and changed into my knock-around clothes, I switched it up a little, to this pair.
