What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That's good to hear :) So far, I'm having a very pleasant one, and I'm all set for an enjoyable Sunday too (see my post above - I think we were posting at the same time). Enjoy the rest of your weekend Stephen

Ha! See my post above (which I edited)... looks like we were posting at the same time again. :D Enjoy your trip, and don't forget to take lots of photos, please!

Edit: I missed your previous post as we were apparently posting at approximately the same time. I hope you have a nice drive over to Jodrell Bank. It looks like a fascinating place, and I hope we get to see some photos when you get back. Wow! The Corsican Vendetta is terrific. Great score on that one.

LOL! :D Thanks Stephen, I've been a couple of times before - but not since I was around 10! I've packed my camera ;)

I've been after an old Vendetta for ages and came across this one a couple of days ago. It was a "a bit spendy" as ScruffUK says, but I didn't want to let it go :)

Thank you Jack. Have a good trip and drive safe. I'm sure you'll be ready for anything with those 3 knives in your pockets!

Thanks a lot Nick, I hope so! :)

That's What I'm talking about too:thumbup::thumbup:

Is that an old galvanize watering-can?? Very good composition.

Thanks, Will

Thanks Will, well spotted:) Looking forward to seeing your Blackwood version! Remember, just a simple kiss on the postie's cheek! You don't want to scare him off!:D

The Oeser is great, but I want to know about the Scotch! I've just gotten into Scotch and I have no idea what to expect with different bottles. So far I've only had Glenfiddich 12 year and Laphroaig 10 year.

Oh dear oh dear. If you thought traditional knives were a drain on your resources, don't start drinking proper whisky. I have three passions ; traditional knives, rugby and whisky. The later is by far the most expensive :)

Not a crack. It's more like the hole for the pin was drilled right on a "grain" of the bone.
Trade??:D

Looks more like a crack to me - defective knife - dud - tradeable !!!;):D:D:D:D:D

Dang Primble! That's just a gorgeous TC!😎
Perry

Thank you Perry - very much appreciated.:)

^^^What he said! Wow!:) Is that just the bone's natural "antiquing" or did it come that way?

That is the way it came to me. Not sure if it is natural or something GEC did to it. :)

Sorry, for the slow responses, but I took my wife out on a belated Valentine's date and got in late.

Primble - Thank you for the compliment on the Oeser, and rest easy as I had only a single glass of Knob Creek with dinner. ;) I thought the light playing through a few bottles might make for a nice backdrop, but obviously lack your skills to produce a really fine photo. I enjoyed seeing your photo of the sheepsfoot Charlow and was happy to know that it got a bit of pocket time today. :)

Hope the dinner was delightful and the drink was smooth!!! ;):)

Bill - Nice pair there !!!

This Texan is freezing so I brought out the ole Texas Jack to remind me of the milder winters. BRRRRRRRR!

9º F this morning in our little town. This pic reminded me of greener pastures and a fun day last summer up on the Henry's Fork:

...I'm also going to make room for this small Corsican Vendetta that I picked up the other day :)

Jack

The Vendetta is absolutely stunning, Jack! A fine catch!!

Gary & Gevonvich - I was lucky enough to pick this one up on the Exchange last week. It's 3 1/2" closed with CPM 154 blades and springs (blades at 60RC), stainless liners, shield and pins. Yellow canvas over G10 covers. I've been on Jared's email list for some time, but always too slow when he posts new knives for sale. That said, I was excited to finally acquire one of his knives, and especially a wharncliffe trapper. What else can I tell you about it? The fit & finish are extraordinary... this one's put together like a swiss watch. :D

Just a treasure to savor over the years. Thanks for the specs, Stephen!!

Would you look at that.... So fine!

I wish Case still made knives like that. Thanks for the pic.
