Not sure this makes it any clearer! :D

Jack I actually had that knife but ended up selling due to not carrying very often...these pictures don't show it very clear but the jigging was different then this #72. I went to the GEC site and found my #72 but no clear description of the jigging:(

Thanks for trying to help solve my mystery though:D:cool::thumbup:

Your pics are a LOT clearer Paul :) I'm not sure I'd have described that as 'Worm Groove' though! I'm sure someone will be able to provide a name for the jigging on your #72 at some point! :D

I know it's not the same jigging, but it utilises the same dye:

'autumn oak jigged bone'

You'll have to rub it a bit more next time Scott. Great-looking Charlow

Thanks, Jack!

Scott - Love that Soup and the patina

I have this with me today, rain is moving in later to replace the snow :) Thanks Brett:D

I am not a spear blade man. (I only own five!) I always prefer a clip or a sheepfoot, or even a spey. But Ron, that ebony spear! Wow! I could see myself giving that some serious pocket time! Beautiful!

After Scotland's dismal display (lost the match in the 80th minute!) yesterday I went green in support of my wife's national team who were triumphant against the English this afternoon.

What a match! Absolutely breathtaking!

Paul, glad the green knife worked better for you! I would make a joke about Italian rugby...but then you might say a thing or two about American soccer...so I'll just say, better luck next time!

I'm going through another little phase with my soupbone. It may be in my pocket daily for a while.

I still can't quite capture the texture of the knife handle, the delicate saw cuts... The white color just kind of washes out in my photos. I'll keep trying.

Scott, always love seeing your photos of that 2-blade soupy. It's a beauty, especially with the dark patina. A rare one too! I have the same issue with the color washing out in pics of my single spey. Very hard to capture.

This pic from a few weeks ago is the best I've been able to do as far as capturing both the color and the sawcuts. I've had this one in my pocket for the past couple days.

Thank you for the help. I've been leaning towards the whittler. I may wait and see if they do another run on them.

Anytime. I'm virtually worthless around here so small deeds and all that.

If you'd like to see my Calico Norfolk and Purple Camel Whittler just email me. Happy to send them your way for review.

Scott - Thank you Sir! This one is special as I was the recipient of this in a recent GAW. Thanks to KBA (Brett) for his generosity!

Just a peach, Phillll!!!;):D Great picture!

I agree! Single speys are beautiful knives anyway, but that soupbone is special.
