Starting today I have put down all my recent and usual edc's in favor of the following knife I was fortunate enough to have received in trade from a very fine bf member on the trade thread here in traditional. This is one pattern that I am not as familiar with compared to most. But it is already fun exploring the feel and function of this cool slipjiont.

Its a Queen #40 Gunstock pattern with D-2 steel and scaled in Honey Bone..

So far she is serving as quite the cutting tool and I like it.

this thing is. sharp as heck and great springs with no blade play. good snap too, thus resulting in the cut on my finger:D

wow, Wow, WOW! that is some damn fine bone! (great pic too!) :thumbup: :thumbup:

As for me, I'm still packing the Case bluegrass peanut, and ocasionaly the bubba gum russlock if I feel the need for more blade thickness;

I was scoring some birch bark on a couple logs to be peeled last week with the pen blade on the peanut.. I pried a bit at the edge of the bark to start it up to grip and peel. the peanuts blade is kinda thin for it, it really flexed good(but no permanent bend or break)

I am used to doing this with a bigger knife so I didn't even think about it..., So if I'm doing woods work, and will be "barking" logs, i need more than the peanut, but for all else its great. Its so great, I don't find a need to rotate to other EDCs anymore. :o

Great looking tools--I love the pliers sheath. I remember that sleeveboard senator was given to you, and was identical to your grandfather's. I hope it sees lots of use and reminds you of him.

Are you German or expatriot? Your clothes look US, but I noticed the German address. My best friends are expats living outside Munich. I met them in Trento (Italy) this March and again in the US this summer. I hope to get to Germany in the next year or two. I'm hoping the exchange rate gets better.
