Case 6292, Texas Jack (8 Dot, 1982)

nice...
Where do you purchase them?
I'm not the owner of the above knife, a but a number of A. Wright knives can be found on the WorldKnives site under "Sheffield". I've lusted after them myself for a while now...

My EDC today: Case Small Texas Jack in Amber Bone and CV. Mmm, mmm, good!

Great looking tools--I love the pliers sheath. I remember that sleeveboard senator was given to you, and was identical to your grandfather's. I hope it sees lots of use and reminds you of him.

Are you German or expatriot? Your clothes look US, but I noticed the German address. [..]

I'm from germany, but I feel more American than german. And nobody is gonna take my Wranglers nor my cowboy boots from me.
The pliers sheath can be had at almoast every ACE in the Midwest, the pliers are CeeTees and the screwdriver is the 8" model of the screwdriver supplied with the WW2 Willys Jeep/ Ford GPW toolkit.

the pen knife sees a lot of use, only light duty though.

Hey Sunny,
Is it hot down in Florida? Headin' back home to GA next week so will be near your neck of the woods.
I have had a couple of Queens, liked the fit and finish, and like the D2. But like most, have found the D2 to be a bear to reprofile, resharpen, and get to where I want it to cut like I want. And I think I heard about Mr. Krein in a thread Blues had awhile back about some vintage moose that this guy reground, and since then have found others who claim he transformed their queen knife into this thin razor - like cutter. Some send their Queen blades to Mike at BRKT to be convexed and he does a good job I understand. But Mr. Krein regrinds and thins the blade and then reprofiles it I understand. Emailed him the other day and he said he would be available to do it. Got the knife today, and definately beyond my sharpening skills to reprofile it I think. Hope that helps. Sorry for the long post to the rest of y'all.

Durbin,

Ahhh, very cool. That's sort of what I imagined although I wasn't quite sure. Thanks for the clarification and heads up on Tom's service.. I use a pair of diamond stones myself on all my D-2 and get super results with that process. You might want to try it next time you need a touch up on your D-2 steel bladed knives.

And yup it sure is hot down here lately. Florida summers are a b#@ch for sure..:( But Joja ain't a whole lot better either this time of year.:p:D

Today it was my CV Yellow Medium Stockman from Case. I haven't carried it since I got cut by it and bled like a stuck pig. I am pretty superstitious and have always thought if your knife cuts you, it's not yours, and was ready to give it away. However, I was doing something stupid with it (trying to open it one handed), and was not being as careful as I should have been, so I figured it was my fault. No superstitions needed. It was my doing. So, I carried it today, and I forgot..... I love this knife. Other then a Peanut, the stockman is one of my absolute favorite patterns. You never feel under-knifed with one of these.
