What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Old pic of it, I've used it quite a bit and the sheath has darkened up nicely (I rubbed wax into it for camping).

Man, that Scout is sweeetttt!!! That's definitely heirloom quality there!! I know you enjoy that one. Thanks for posting it again.

I love that fixed blade! is it in current production or an older model?

Yep, it's current. Case Desk knife. Besides the one I show, they make it with stag, walnut, ebony, paua (abalone), MOP, jigged red bone, and plain smooth white (natural) bone. It's a pretty sweet little knife.

Durwood, that Alsdorf is fabulous. I really like it being a Case mini trapper fan and all. Just right!!

Well, i discovered that we had a gun show going on in my town today so i swung by to check it out.

managed to walk out with a rough rider gunstock bone stockman. I think i may have overpayed a bit for it, but wanted to try out a knife with bone scales and see just what everyone has been talking about. Its still sharing pocket space with a wenger serrated highlander and a yellow handle case sodbuster :-D

I'm slowly working on a small collection of traditionals :)

As usual I have the Ohta in my pocket today.

Awful hard to go wrong with the Ohta. Thats a beauty

Today it is the Rem 1178... When I got it a few months back, it was sharp enough to shave, but it has a step angle and was a little toothy.
So, last night I spent a little time on the edge. Its better now, but still a steep angle. I have to much going on today though to re-profile it, so it will work fine for now. Yesterday it was my old Schrade UH trapper with carbon blades.

I finally finished reading every page of this thread yesterday; you guys have some great knives! I need to put off studying for finals, though, so with nothing more to read, I decided to contribute. I had this Queen canoe in 1095 in my pocket today:

It may not be shiny, but it sure is pretty ;)
