What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

got 4 slippies yesterday, one was a Queen D2 canoe in ACSB
awsome piece! F&F is very high, edge is ground and pretty sharp, little stropping on green compound has put a nice edge to it, pen blade is sharp out of the box
great color and finish on the bone, long jigging
nice soft pull, opens butter smooth, spring is soft but holds the blade open pretty well like in some soft saks (cadet?)

the shield fell off when I took if out of the box, glued back
little chip of the bone near the center pin, not a big issue

not my pics but looks very similar, long jigging, great color

yess I'm happy

Been using my GEC texas toothpic with red bone handles. I really like it. It is firly large and fits my hand well, but I dont notice it in my pockets

No pics, but ill post some up soon:)

These two. :D

A couple traditional tools whose ancestors have been just as at-home out on the water as these two are today.

Have my Schrade USA SS825 with me today. Nice medium stockman that I seem to be picking up almost every day this week. Fits the hand well and I'm really starting to like the stockman blades.

I'm carrying a GEC Yellow Rose Cattle Rancher. Quite the knife. I'm impressed with the build of it. It feels sturdy and solid.

Today is an Uncle Henry 897UH from the '80s, I'll hafta get a pic up.

Nice ride in the pocket, slim enough to not leave an outline big enough to find it at the clutter in the bottom of my pocket.

I found this one in the EDC box haven't seen it in a while so tomorrow's a light day so I'll take the HAlf Congress out for a walk, sorry about the finger print, I usually wipe 'em off before I take a pic.

Had this Queen For awhile, even though it's got Delrin scales I still love the way it looks, definitely more durable than the real Winterbottom Bone, just not as warm.

muskrat clip is like in the pic, the wharnie is convex and shiny, took metal glo to it and it now looks almost a "northy gec"..

cheers

That blue lagoon bone looks better than I envisioned. Thanks for posting a real photo of it. I like that knife a lot, but might go for the whittler pattern instead.

I'm carrying my K.R. Johnson sodbuster today. (How could I not???) Top knife in this photo. I've got to make a new avatar photo now!

T, This is a great knife. I love the pattern, love the scales, derlin or not they look quite authentic and are a fine representation of Winterbottom bone. Super EDC!

Very nice. I have an old 897UH that I got from my Dad just before he passed away last year. I recently picked up two NIB 897UHs that are Schrade USA made. Love this style of stockman that is the perfect size plus fits in the pocket and hand perfectly.
