What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Ahhhh Perry the now much sought after SCOUT and for good reason...such a great looking knife. Sheepfoot with or without Pen, great bone covers and EO notch...a perfect Jack knife:thumbup:

+ 5K!! :thumbup::thumbup:
Perry, my "speed-scrolling" through threads comes to a screeching halt every time I spot one of those superb sheepsfoot 2-blade EO Scouts! I can see why that incredible knife has been in your pocket all week. :D

(Paul, I'm not implying your splendid pair is "chopped liver". :p They both look fantastic! How are you liking the "saber grind" of the Northwoods?)

Mines a toss up between these two. Maybe I'll carry both just because. :D
...

I can see your dilemma, Bob. Those knives are BOTH irresistible! If you can decide between them, you're a better man than I am!:( For me, it's a no-brainer: 2 knives, 5 pants pockets, carry both (at least) :D

Still the #62, and the Mini Fox River.
My biggest gripes about this otherwise phenomenal fixed blade were the squared off handles and the sharp spine, so it got ergonomified recently.

Well Gary, at first I thought I should at least carry two different style blades. But they're both new to me this week and I'm so enamored and happy to have scored them both, I just couldn't decide. I guess that's not such a bad predicament. :D

Nice one Sturzi. I couldn't decide between the Mini Fox River and the Little Creek. Went with the Little Creek, but it also has the squared edges. I'm getting used to them though.

Much appreciated, Bob! Thanks for the kind words.

The EO Scout Knives are great knives, aren´t they?

Something i never thought i would say, but my #68 Buckaroo has been usurped by a Spearpoint Talon. A friend brought me some French bread and saucisson, it turned out the Buckaroo was not doing it , the slightly longer blade and that serpentine handle made slicing up our lunch so much more comfortable. Now the question is should i go for an un-X-ld version with its fancy swedge and shiny blade ?

Ole Man,

Would you mind posting some pics of the 68(or 66) next to that Talon.

I had originally wrote the Talon off due to size, but just realized that its actulally right in my sweet spot (3.5-3.75").

Gevonovich - :D You're welcome, and thank you! Now, how often do you get to say that in the same sentence? ;) Seriously though, your comments made my morning; and can I just say "ditto" my friend? :D

Paul - wonderful pairing. The Northwoods is fantastic and its scales should should continue to get even better with age; I love the gray SAK too... probably my favorite color on a SAK.

Perry - the Scout EO is such a great knife. Something very simple, yet wonderful about it.

fairhaven - nice looking knife, I especially like the scales.

bonzodog - 'stunner' is right! Care to tell us a bit more about that one?

Bob - You can't go wrong with either, but I'll join the queue and suggest that you carry both.

sturzi - outstanding pairing and nicely matched. Definitely two of the more interesting and beautiful sets of wood scales I've seen.

Andi - great looking Forum knife.

Oldmanrunning - I'm a big fan of the #92 and Eureka Jack patterns in general, so I say go for it. I have two Talons: a single spear in Ebony (Tidioute) a single spear in Che Chen Rosewood (Northfield); and a Eureka Jack in Che Chen Rosewood (Northfield).

Bloefield - nice pairing. First time I've seen a Dogbone Jack - interesting and handsome.

My wife took possession of my Bucklites for kitchen duty, lol. I guess that's her carry today along with her pink Baby Butterbean.
