What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Sounds so cool, Jack! The crypt and cathedral must have been wonderfully exciting!

Thanks my friend, some pics of Ripon in this thread here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-Yorkshire-With-A-Knife-A-Fine-Sunday-Morning. I have never been inside the cathedral before, as it's usually booked out for weddings at the weekend. It's vast and can be seen for miles around. The ancient crypt goes back to the 7th century, and is accessed down narrow stone steps and passages hewn out of the rock.

The museums were the Courthouse Museum, The Police & Prisons Museum, and the Workhouse Museum.

I can post more pics in The Lounge if there's interest :)

Jack I'm really liking the covers on that 66. If you have more pics I'd love to see them. I went with purple sage, but you have me second guessing my decision.

Thanks Jim, my 66 is one of my favourite knives. I think it looks great in the purple sage too though

Two great-looking knives Duane

I figured if I carried these hard-working knives today, I'd get some chores done around the house.
Nothing productive done yet. :D

:D

You're putting some great knives in your pocket Kai

Stunning

Jack - Ancient cathedrals, crypts and a pub called The One Eyed Rat? Sounds like the makings of a wonderful day, and yes, I think I would've loved it. :D

The pub was a small, unimposing, back-street 'local', but with character, a homely coal fire, a friendly bunch of regulars, and a great selection of ales. We'll have to seek it out some time ;)

Have a great Sunday everyone

Ole Man,

Would you mind posting some pics of the 68(or 66) next to that Talon.

I had originally wrote the Talon off due to size, but just realized that its actulally right in my sweet spot (3.5-3.75").

Jim

Sorry about the delay Jim , i hope these will help.

Although i am using the Spearpoint at the moment i guess that is because it is new and as i said before it is better for food prep, but i am sure the #68 will soon be back in my pocket, with its choice of three blades each of which i put to a specific job, so my advice Jim is get both har har!! I am awaiting a #66 Slim in purple sage to complete my purple sage set, i am not to sure about the California clippoint blade but in the picture it looks a bit more substantial than the Case cp blades i have owned. I am sure you will be happy with what ever you get.
All the best Bob..

[Old & In The Way] - I'm a big fan of the #92 and Eureka Jack patterns in general, so I say go for it. I have two Talons: a single spear in Ebony (Tidioute) a single spear in Che Chen Rosewood (Northfield); and a Eureka Jack in Che Chen Rosewood (Northfield).

You enabler you, it is the single spear Che Chen Rosewood (Northfield), that i have been eyeing and you just made it harder, i am waiting for a #66 Slim from the same site , it is just going into its fourth week in the postal system so i think i will wait until it arrives before committing myself to another wait.

Looking good Pete! Hope all is well my friend? The 26 seed you planted with me is starting to blossom, its been slowly working its way to the "must have" list :)

Been back to the 55 for the past 2 days

I usually carry the jigged one to work and The beautifully crafted smooth bone gets switched for after I get home.

Wow Primble, you truly are a master at putting the icing on the cake for a wonderful days showing of carried cutlery!
That Utica has me drooling :D

Stunning knife, and wonderfully photographed; but the jigging on that one really steals the show. Character is practically oozing out of those scales and on to my keyboard.

I agree with Duane 100% Primble...just a vintage gem right there:thumbup:

Thank you, my friend! Your old lovely curved stamped Utica brought a teardrop to my eye!!;)

Duane, Stephen, Paul, and Gevo - thank you for the compliments on the Utica.:thumbup::)

Thank you all for the kind words. But I have to say Primble's Utica is just phenomenal. I like seeing all the shiny new stuff posted here, but when something like that Utica shows up it warms my heart to know that these old battle scarred warhorses are still out there cutting stuff like God intended them to do.
P.S Still totin the same knife as yesterday.
