Todd - That XX is a beautiful knife. Just think when it was made it was a utility, everyday working man's knife, and still will handle anything you can throw at it. That "Walk and Talk" is what us Old Timers refer to as "Gator Snap". All of the 31 series Jacks are known for that.

I know some of you guys across the pond might think it's a bit gauche, but in honor of St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I've got these. (Sorry for the lousy cell phone pic, the light's gone. I'll have to take a better one later. )

And this one, because I still can't put it down. Snaps like a little gator, as solid as a new GEC #15. Made between 1905 and 1922, according to BRL.
