What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I felt like I needed an old friend today. I've had this little guy since the eighties and it hasn't been carried much lately.

Thanks. It weighs a ton but is really well made.

T, This is a great knife. I love the pattern, love the scales, derlin or not they look quite authentic and are a fine representation of Winterbottom bone. Super EDC!

Thats a fine lookin Western set Anthony . I had a mint condition Case Green Bone set, that unfortunately had to be sold off about 5 years ago.... :(

I won't bore you with the details, but it was awful hard to part with

It might be an old friend, but it ain't a little guy. I've got two of those knives. Heavy duty folders for sure.

I know why you might not carry it much; I've got two so I can be balanced. :D

Which size is that? I have two of that pattern. One has a four inch blade, and the other is less than three inches. I believe they were made in three sizes.

Thats a beauty... I really like the coloring of the scales, and the pinched bolster adds a nice touch.
What is the closed length and blade steel ?

Thanks, it's right at 3.5 in closed and rides very nicely in the pocket. Keith is really putting out some great knives and his f&f is amazing. Im a big fan of his work.

4 inch blade, 5.25 stem to stern.
I have all three somewhere, I just can't find the others right now.

Thanks Nathan. I can see why you are a fan. That knife is incredible looking

I was pretty well equipped today. I carried my new clipped sodbuster, my 250C Silver Knight, and my mini copperhead. I'm not sure I've posted a picture of the SK 250C.

The last two days it has been a Rough Rider orange bone doctors knife. This has been an experiment to use the cr*p out of it cutting food, boxes, Christmas wrapping paper, tree branches, and tie wraps. So far it has held up well with no need to resharpen the blades. I'll probably go back to my other knives soon and end up gifting this one away. Part of that is due to the fact that all my family and friends seem to be drawn to this knife in how it looks and functions.

(I had purchased a Gerber Mark II but returned as too aggressive and got this one instead)

I also have a very small version of it also from the 70s
