What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today... excuse the modern flare. Maybe in response to such a traditional carry yesterday!
On the Knuck.. Μολων Λαβε "come and take them" Ha ha... Leonidas could have been a Texan!

Muchos gracias. 😁

I used the forum favorite apple cider vinegar. I ran into initial problems with the vinegar not wanting to "stick to" certain parts of the blade. A surface tension issue, I assume. So I mixed in some Dawn dishwashing liquid into the vinegar. The Dawn gave the vinegar just enough stick that the job became quite easy.

Thanks Buzzbait. Saving this for the next time I want to "encourage" a knife to take a patina. "Force" always seemed a bit of a rude description to me for a traditional knife :D

Was carrying this guy today, had it in my pocket this past Friday when I received the ring also in the picture.

In Canada all graduating engineers are given an "Iron Ring" which is worn on the little finger of their dominant hand, to remind them of their responsibility as an engineer to protect the public from harm in all of their works.

Really like that 2-bladed toothpick, FordRanger!:thumbup:
Do you know offhand what the closed length is?
How long have you had it?
Thanks!

Its a great little knife.

Its right at four inches closed, seven open.

It dwarfs the regular toothpick it came with, but the size is perfect for pocket carry- big enough for most any regular tasks, and small enough to slip in a pocket and not be bulky. I'm thinking of using a 301 instead, but I love how slim this knife is, as I don't notice it as much in my pocket.
I got one of the gift tins for my girlfriend on our anniversary last November, and she loved them, but the more I looked at that 388 the more I wanted my own, so a few months ago I found one on clearance and picked it up. My other traditionals haven't seen as much use since then. I wish that Buck would start producing more variety, but I understand that unlike Case the majority of their business isn't done with traditional folders. I'd particularly like to see them make a two blade folding hunter again, with either delrin or wood, but I doubt they'll ever do it. One can still wish though!

This one today

After much nervous umming and aaahing I decided to thin and re profile the the stag covers. I'm pleased with the result, it's now a much more pocket friendly knife:)

Funny dang Moose doesn't wanna leave my pocket, but I have a few packages showing up today that will change that I'm sure!

It is usually a toss up between one of these Purple Sage covered rascals, although the Slim seems to have wedged itself into my watch pocket, but i have a couple of inbound packages due to show up anytime in the next week or so that will likely change things.
