What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Primble, that HATCH is knock your socks off amazing! I never get tired if seeing it:D

Thank you and thank you GT also. I snapped another pic of it with the smartphone, after returning from my daily walk.

Well - you said you never get tired of seeing it. ;):D (actually I just wanted to make sure OW sees it is still in the Bluegrass :D:D:D )

THANKS SF - As a fellow toothpick connoisseur I'm sure you'll appreciate the 38's sleekness and near sunken joints... and two super useful secondaries don't hurt either.

Nice 38 Lemmy !!!

Todd, I never tire of seeing that pair of knives. They fill the gambit of both classic and contemporary traditional sheepsfoot knife design. As much as I'm in awe of that Oeser knife, the Case really pushes all the right buttons for me. I keep looking for one like it. I've seen some, but most have seen better days. You hit the jackpot with that one IMO.

Nice SBJ GT - the best of the Case offerings, at least until they make it in a collaboration knife.;):D

I agree with you Ryan! Roberto, that sabre ground LP spear might look good on a certain Barlow being made. The steel being used is thick enough! :D

Thanks, Primble! :)
That knife is courtesy of the legendary generosity of Paul Hilborn, who sent it to me before I had any idea of what a shockingly superb knife it is; I just thought it was pretty!:o:eek: But as I carry it every day, I'm learning my lesson about the extremely high quality of the SBJ.:D:thumbup:

I'm right there with you on the case. Just picked up my second one this week. Much better shape than the first, but still some black spots I can't get off. Kind of amazes me that no one seems to be able to produce a sheepsfoot as nice as this ~40 year old knife. This one at least appears to have an original edge on it. I also ran across one that had been EO'd and looked great, but couldn't justify a third one yet.

Todd, is the wood on yours darker on one side? Both of mine have a noticeably darker side.
