What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It sure is Paul :)
There's quite a bit of it down here. That piece it's sitting on, is about the size of a medium fireplace log. The darn thing weighs about 50lbs or so haha:p

Thanks, it's been a great find for me, it arrived in not so good edge wise condition, so if anyone gets one, which I do recommend!, be warned you may need to tidy up those bevels which can take a while, but, it's worth the effort ;)

Gev Thanks indeed for your superlatives! Got me all embarrassed, curled up in a ball Hedgehog style in the corner....:D:D Thanks too to Paul for your kind words. Sunk joints on that one, about 3.5" shut, re-handled for me by Glenn, great job too:thumbup: I wish I could get Ken Erickson to make me a new version of the Hoffritz but without sabre grind, there's always hope...;)

Regards, Will

Nice working-knives those Andi, lot of appeal:thumbup:

I've got to know my 25s again lately, really looking forward to the forthcoming re-issue of this pattern.

This is a manufacturers picture of a knife I received yesterday, Enzo Elver. What a great knife! The size is on the upper limit for fixed blade pocket carry, but I intend to carry it that way when I don't have to worry about legalities. The handle really is comfortable, everything is nicely rounded. Handle scales have red liners underneath which is a nice touch. Blade is a serious slab of O-1 steel, this is a real work knife. Scandi grind bites in to wood and edge was razor sharp out of box.

Great looking knife, Will. The pattern is not my very favorite, but the easy open notch looks great.

That Enzo is a beauty. I´ve almost been eyeballing with these knives, but never got my paws on one of them. Still torturing my mind if I should get a Heimo Roselli Puukko.

Do it, you won't regret it. I have two, the Bear claw with UHC-steel and the semi-custom with hunting knife handle and short leuku blade. Both have seen much use. The "long hunter" I carry in my bag when hiking and intend to make a fire, works great batoning. The Bear claw is a whittling knife par excelence.

Occasionally I take this beauty Case 75 out for a day or two.... today feeding out some hay for the horses (it is coming on fall/winter here in Australia)

A just arrived EO modification of a #15 from the very gracious craftsman Paul - thank you again sir for adding such a fun custom dimension to this great pattern. Couldn't have come any better from GEC itself.  I'll definitely be carrying this one with pride. :)

...

Wow, David!! If "truth alone triumphs", you're definitely a winner, because that #15 is The Truth!:thumbup:
Paul really nails those EO mods, doesn't he?? Superb!:cool:

Really like that EO mod on the ebony 15. These two went with me, today. Just got the peanut CV yellow, yesterday. Quite a nice little knife to be so small. the Chambriard Compact is it's own little jewel.

Congrats on the classic Peanut, nugun! And that Chambriard IS a real gem - so elegant.:thumbup:

...I had this one with me again today.

Cold, rainy, overcast day in the thirties here today:eek:

Has to warm up soon:thumbup:

Tan Jig Bone Sheepfoot/Pen TC today.

My new favorite TC....holy moly that is fine, Paul!! And on another note....what a deck!!

Your whittler is a real looker, Stephen!

Gotta agree with Gevonovich! :p
Those 38 whittlers are VERY attractive!
Paul, that Charlow must be creating some heat to take off the spring chill!!:thumbup:
As I gaze at all the Charlow pics around here, the antique amber saw cut 2-blades have always been the clear stand-out for me, but your tan jigged bone sheep/pen is suddenly giving my old favorite a serious run for its money!!:D:D:eek:

Coppertone for impending summertime! ;);) Very nice, Bro Jim!

GT - Great Old Timer and I really like the vintage 1950's "Yellowstone Park" souvenirs that your grand parents brought you.:eek::thumbup::thumbup::)
...

Gary, love that leather pouch, I actually owned a novelty knife with Yellow Stone on it. Lost it in a barn when I was little:(

...

Thanks, Primble and Paul. That old Yellowstone tie was designed for an 8-year-old, so when I try to wear it around my neck now, it only comes about halfway down my chest. Using it as a lanyard allows me to still scratch my nostalgia itch without looking TOTALLY like a geek! :D:D The leather pouch is the one I "found" in the wrist strap of an old ball glove.
(Paul, are you a fan of ND women's basketball, too? They had a another splendid run this year, and losing to UConn in the championship game takes absolutely nothing away from their accomplishments, IMHO.:thumbup:)
