What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My new Tidioute 22 Magnum

Rough Rider 1290. Centered blades, blades flush in open and closed positions, perfectly flush pins, backsprings nicely closed up, pull about a 6.5 on the clip and a 5 on the spey, great walk and talk, the smooth bone color matches on both sides, and this one was actually sharp out of the box. That's a first for me with Rough Riders going back about 3 years now with 7+ purchased.

There are three flaws I've noticed. The shield is not perfectly flush. One of the bolsters has a tiny gap or it's not completely smooth. The bone on the mark side has a gap. It's flush on the pile side. For a $13 knife I'm thoroughly impressed. This one is going to see some pocket time because I won't be scared to use or lose it.

Superb Sam!

Very nice Jer, I have an 88 exactly the same

Fine pair of 25's Smithhammer, but that sheepsfoot version got me drooling!

+1

Great pics gents

I decided carry this =OOT knife in my pocket today.

Thanks, Jack!

I thought that old knife's days of being pocketed were well over r8shell! Good on yer. Great pic too :)

Nice photo

That looks good sir

I'm very well thanks Lemmy :) I'm set to go for another walk tomorrow, so looking forward to that. I'm exploring a small stream called the Crimple Beck, which somewhat incredibly, gave it's name to the fabric Crimplene! :D I'll be making an early start, but will be taking these along

We've had a week of lovely weather, and I was hoping to take full advantage of it this weekend. Just finished packing my rucsac when the weather completely changed, it's now dark and windy, and absolutely lashing it down with rain :( I've had to change my plans, and my carry. At least I have the lovely #25 PMEW sent me to put a smile on my face :)

Sitting here with a cup of coffee contematong my carry for the day. Oh the tough decisions in life.

Pretty good problem to have, still some mornings it's tuff to choose. On those days I wear my overalls and carry several.

;) Mainly for the novelty, but it can open a letter as well as any other old knife.

Too damp out to mow the lawn today. :) I'll just have to do some whittling.

timwilso - terrific photo of your 22. I have an ebony 22 myself that is one of my favorite watch pocket knives.

Jack - sorry to hear about the weather, but hopefully it'll improve in time to salvage some of your weekend plans. Lovely knives you're showing today and I agree that the 25 makes a terrific consolation prize. It's overcast here, but we're planning to take a short hike a little later this morning.

bonzodog - handsome stag on that one.

Andi - nice pairing, and really attractive covers on your Böker congress.

nugun55 - I like the stag covers, and between the two blades, your 73 packs a lot of punch.

Combatjiujitsu - good looking SBJ, and an outstanding photo that made me smile.

Ron - very nice. You've inspired me to carry my new 48 today.
