What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I love my RR sowbelly, but I had no idea they'd ever made stag covers!! :eek::eek: How long ago was that?? VERY appealing knife!

Thanks 5k, this was from a run about 8-9 years ago, and I've got several more. Nicely made knives with very decent stag.

Here is the sowbelly compared to a Case 6339- the RR is much slimmer and my preference.

An excellent guess Bob! :) Actually this one came to me with an EO already there - I put an edge on it and tried for a swedge (not sure how successful…). I'm just experimenting (a.k.a. having fun :) )
I know Paul did it for himself before he passed it on. The swedge is looking pretty darn nice in my opinion. :thumbup:

Jack - nice photo. I hope you had a good day.

Will - the 38 looks terrific, and perhaps the green covers will hold you over until Spring brings some green to latitude 64 North. :)

Mark - I know others have already chimed in, but that Lloyd of yours is just incredible.

Sam - lots of gorgeous curves on your Oeser. :thumbup:

Primble - terrific photo my friend. The Indian Head penny matches nicely with the tan jigged bone.

GT - thank you sir! I really like the JJ Martinez you're carrying today.

bearsquared - really, really excellent jigged bone on that one. :thumbup:

Jake - very classy Barlow.

J_Curd - beautiful Bocote covers.

payton206 - fantastic bone covers on your 77 Barlow. I like the owl too. :thumbup:

David - nice modifications.

combatjiujitsu - Nice! You did a terrific job carving that mermaid. :D Only kidding, the bear looks great to me.

Derek - nice shot of your #42.

Primble - it'd be a shame not to carry those more often, and I suspect you have a few more old Case knives that need some pocket time too. Thanks for the compliment on my carry yesterday. John Lloyd made that one and it's 4 1/8" with Alabama Damascus. I don't see very many Lloyds in jigged bone, but think he did a remarkable job with mine.

Thank you OW. :thumbup::)

Primble
Great looking Case knives. They do deserve a carry!! I think I will get out mine:D\

Thank you Gevo. Yes- get it out - I remember the BP with the Damascus blade - I want to see it again. :eek::thumbup::thumbup::D

That lanyard is marvelous with the chestnut bone! WOW!! :eek::thumbup::thumbup::eek:GT

Thank you GT !! :thumbup::)

Hokie Fan & Primble - sweet, really sweet Cases :eek:

Thank you ! :thumbup::) That jigged bone looks great on your carry. :thumbup:;)

I'm carrying this Trapper and hoping that everyone is having a great day! :)

This JJ Martinez is one I'm carrying today:GT

Like the wood on that one GT. :thumbup:;)

Thank you! It's yellow canvas over black G10. As you might know, I prefer wood and bone but have a few knives with man-made covers that I also appreciate, this being one of them. Thanks again for the compliment. :)
