What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

And Jcurd, I got my linerless Davison swayback that I bought the day after you bought yours. It's my 3rd Davison, 1st linerless, and I will say you're going to be blown away. It's beyond light and thin. It almost feels fake...until you open that blade. Be sure to notice how seamless his knives are. You're going to be hooked!

I was blessed to spend about 3 hours with mine Tuesday morning before leaving Dallas...I am stunned by the quality...and I NEVER would have assumed such a composition to have quite an affirmative walk talk and snap. I'm gonna drop that bad boy in my pocket first thing tomorrow afternoon and I WILL be using and carrying the heck out of it. No safe queen, that one.

Big congrats on the swayback, a favorite design of mine...had I a bit more discretionary funds, I would've bought that one too! Alas, they aren't quite as easy to impulse-buy as my beloved GECs, at least for me, saving for a ring, and the mortgage. :(

Stuck this one in my pocket this AM - bail and all.

J_Curd - thank you sir! Yes, you picked up a liner less version right? Nice pick-up - especially since Todd is now using CPM-154 (a really great steel). Congrats! I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely.

As for me, going back to a nice and very special production piece:

The little fixed blade is nice, Battle Horse North River?

Yes indeed Jerry, I've been carrying it in pocket as well as as a neck knife yesterday and today. It's a great little fixed blade that just disappears but the rounded handle and swell at the butt end give it a great secure grip and feel in hand

I'm certainly not going to call you crazy, Tim! They call them pocket knives, right? Every pocket should have at least one knife, and you probably have 4 or 5 pockets in just your pants. By my calculations, you may be a little "under-knifed" even with that terrific trio! :D:D

- GT

Haha touche GT, love the ones you had on you at the moment as well, esp that Old timer. All knives should look like that, well loved.

It's great when things can be seen as black and white! ;) Enjoy your outing, Jack!

Jack - Thanks for the  and :) Wow, I am envious, a meet up in Sheffield and a talk on Joseph Rodgers by Geoffrey Tweedale. Have a great time.:)

Thanks a lot guys, it's after 8pm here, and I've just got in after leaving home before 7am. It was a long day, but the time in Sheffield went very quickly, helped along by some good company. Highlights included a long chat with Stan Shaw, and Geoffrey Tweedale's talk of course, but lots of other cutlery history too, including a trip to the old (Wade &) Butcher Works, and we got to see some lovely knives :)

That sure is a beauty David. Todd makes some really nice stuff.

+1  Stan Shaw was admiring my Davison today :)

I see Primble is bustin out the beauties today:thumbup: I smile every time I see that beautiful saw cut bone.

Love the Case Bose Gary, even if that one causes a bit of envy.

Chris

It's just so cool that you can pop round and visit with Mr. Shaw! And that Davison, what's not to admire?

It isn't the most graceful of knives, but this harness knife has found its way into my pocket all week.
