What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Primble : I think that color is the right color for that knife . It just looks right.
Of course you photgraphy skills help too.

Killing me!

Pete that looks mighty sharp.

It is :D nice convex edge, it's pretty worn has a bit of a recurve, it's probably logged more miles of cutting than any other pocket knife, it's a trusted friend, from about 12 until my early to mid 30's it was a Vic Farmer or Rucksack and a Opinel or Laguiole, I've come full circle, I guess I could've saved some coin :D

Pete - I always enjoy seeing the patina on the great P'nut. IMO it is a cornerstone to the "what are ya totin" thread. Good to see it.

Thanks for the kind words, I hope your girls are doing well, mine are growing quick

I had an ebony Davison with me for my daughter's first communion this morning, but swapped it out for a small Buck while I was outside playing around.

The weather's been perfect here, and I've managed to sneak in a bit of hiking, some swimming, and even a little kayaking. One of the best weekends I can recall, and I hope that it's been equally wonderful for all of you. :)

Congratulations Stephen, sounds like a wonderful weekend - and you were very nicely equipped my friend :)

I never get tired of seeing your Davison Jack:thumbup:

And I will never get tired of seeing this one either Bob:D

I am attending an all day suit-and-tie business affair today. A Wall Street seemed appropriate, along with a caplifter pry bar gizmo on my keychain. Bonus if you can spot the 3 tiny stowaways slightly north west of the lockback ;).

Very nice Wallstreet Tom, when my wife saw it she said "hey why don't you have one of those" little did she know it was a loaded question:D:(

I added these to my pocket after lunch

Nice Davison Stephen, glad you had such a great weekend:)

15 for me today

Dave That Redbone 15 is superb. Kind of annoys me though... I bought a Yellow/Tan version and as soon as it arrived I'd wished I'd chosen the Red! Maybe somebody out there feels the opposite.....:D:cool:

Cory Hess :
Thanks a lot. I also have one similar to it in Rams Horn , which pretty nice too , but quite as nice IMO as the XX Horn and it is just 5 Miles or less from your house too.

Harry

Now I'm real curious and thinking of anybody named Harry I might know. :p

Which town are you in?

Any chance of getting a picture of the two knives together?

Oh lord, something else I now know that I want....gorgeous.

How stable is horn compared to wood and bone?

Horn can be unstable if it's not cured properly. I have recently learned that you have to be careful to make sure that you get good pieces or problems will arise.

I've been getting this beauty tuned up for carving/whittling/carrying. So far so good, but still working on that ole hunk of metal called the main blade.
