What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This one, today. I'm liking this single blade #73 and drop point blade & micarta handles. It's sort of like a shorter, dressed up version of my Mudbugs.

Thanks Ed!! I love the look of the OO #73s and I'm having a hard time resisting adding one to the user list...

I had a couple of those Gem keychain gizmos when I was a kid. Kind of the original multitool, I guess. I wish I knew where mine went.
Yea, they aren't bad for cutting up boxes. And they are cheap too, so no hard feelings for abusing it lol.

Is the one you have made by GEM? I'm looking around for a source and can't find one. I'd be surprised that they're still being made, given the existence of SAKs.

The only marking on it is "Korea". I have a few more hidden away. I'll have to see what they are marked.

Gorgeous handles on this Bark River SH . Is this the Mini Canadian?

Thanks, Tom. It is the Mini Canadian, with natural canvas handles and red liners. Probably my favorite small Barkie, for its versatility and ability to do more work than its size might suggest. I like that if needed, I can 'choke up' on it and get all four fingers on the handle. And I really like the way natural canvas develops that warm color with use.

43 nice gills will make a couple fine dinners for me. The Case/Bose helped out today:

Looking through this got me to wondering. If I worked on the floor making knives for CSC, Queen, GEC, or Case, what would I be carrying? Would I be able to afford a knife by my employer, or would I even want a knife by my employer? If I worked at Queen, would I have to put away my GEC's? I wonder what the cutlers are carrying. Any speculation?

Good point! I suspect it might be like with gourmet chefs just being interested in very simple fare.

For once, I'm glad I have no cutler's abilities therefore:D

This will be with me, the Cranberries got devoured already......

Smithhammer - That is a great combo!! I'm trying to hint to my wife that a Mini I have my eye on would make a great birthday gift. :D

I had to rough up the antique ivory micarta a bit, as it came just to polished for my taste, but I enjoyed having a PSK in my pocket again. Last day of work before the summer break so I threw the only Charlow I have in my pocket as well.
