Great old HSB Gevo! Love the spey blade. :)

Nice knives and pictures today everyone:thumbup:

Carried my #38 ebony Whittler today when I found an extra cedar spindle under the deck I built a few years back and thought I'd try and carve a Viking like figure in it:o

Note to shelf: learn how to carve:D

Nice 38 Whittler Brother!

Note to self: Don't take whittling lessons from Paul

Carried these two the last two days

Been carrying this pair for the last week, the Schrade 897UH for EDC at work and the Case 5318 for Sunday and dress use. I compared the two the other day and realized that they're nearly identical except the Case is much nicer in polish and has real stag handles. These two pocketknives fit my style and needs. OH

For me, what the final result looks like isn't as important as the relaxing time I spend on carving it.

Your sentiment is spot on GT. My "whattles?" Are all about the journey... because the destination is less than prideful. :)

Hey guys, I'm more reader (and listener) than a writer, but I just need to thank all of you, for creating such a fantastic peaceful place on the Net. When city where I live starts feeling too rushed to me - and I can't go to the woods for some reason - then you can find me here in this subforum, reading stories, looking to pictures. It really calms me down.
Back for the topic: lately I have these two in my pockets (along with one modern folder): Mighty Opinel, and Almighty Farmer. Great companions.

PS: pardon my English, I'm not very strong in it.

I've shared much the same experience over the last year. Your English is plenty strong; I was born and raised in Kentucky so we share the same plight.

I was heart-warmed by your sentiment. This is a special place. Our moderators have created a culture that would do well to proliferate elsewhere.

A wonderful photo of a more wonderful HSB Gevo! May we see a few more photos of that one soon?

Here is one more, my friend. Sorry for the delay...was cutting up all the trees that were blown down in last nights mega storm:eek:

Happy to see you are getting good use out of the Case OH !!!:thumbup::D

It is very gratifying to learn over time that a give away knife is so appreciated by it's new owner. Thank you for that !:thumbup::thumbup::)

Thanks for the compliment, my friend. Well, time will tell. Many were badly damaged, lots of big limb loss. One tree is a total loss. The neighbor across the streets car is still buried under two trees!!
