Jack What are those grey ghosts behind the Red Soupbone? They look like old Lag types. Interesting....

This one hasn't seen the light of day for a while, time for an airing.

Thanks guys, those are old (18th century) Sheffield Barlows, I made a couple of posts about them in the Barlow thread here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-What-Makes-a-Good-Traditional-Barlow/page472

That's a beauty Will

The moose has easily become my most carried work knife. Stopped by grandpa's cross one more time this morning before they put them up

Mark I am a 911 emergency dispatcher, some emt cross training, tough calls today.

It's hard to imagine your lil' pig-tailed self out on emergency calls, but I'm sure you brighten many a day....

:D

(My clearer brain knows that's not you in your avatar, but as I read along I almost always conflate the image of that young sweetie with the contents of your posts, then re-adjust. -- I'm sorry for your harder day.)

Back at it:

The Classic (attached to my keychain) and Radio Knife are de rigueur for a workday; the Farmer's Jack refuses to be left behind. Pocket hog.

Took these three camping this weekend:

It rained most of the time, so not the best for the kids. We did get a spot of sunshine, which we used to go hiking at Effigy Mounds National Monument:

I'm going to be honest. I don't really "get" the whole effigy mounds thing. It's cool that we found these things that the Native Americans made, but they don't really wow me. However, we've done the hike up to them several years in a row now because of the views of the Mississippi River that you get from the bluffs that the mounds are on:

Last year we got to watch a bald eagle cruising the air currents. This year it was 3 turkey vultures. Not as majestic, but still pretty exciting for the kiddos. :D

Admirable carry on the trip!

Jack
Thank you and it does not get much finer than that Washington Jack!

Mark
Those two make a wonderful pair....to my eye!!

Will
Shame on you for not carrying that perfection more often;):D

Some wonderful knives being shown this morning; and Jack, I'm glad to see your 'improved' Washington Jack. :)

Back to work on a stormy day here with this one in my pocket.
