What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Will going to a BBQ to my parents in some hours. The Böker Sportmesser will be with me there. Like that great knife!

Jack - lovely photos today, and I hope you're having a great Sunday too. :)

Andi - very interesting Boker. I can see why you'd like that one. Enjoy the BBQ!

Bob - that's one fine looking ebony Charlow, and a terrific photo of it too.

I'm carrying this one today.

Ah mmk. It's great when you're able to see the fine linear grain in ebony and blackwood.

Moose helping me fill a emergency pump up this rainy Sunday morning. Have a good one guys

Had to play 'where's the knife' for a second, hope your Sunday goes well as well.

I'm carrying my newest Erickson today.

I remain in awe of Erickson's eye for proportion and lines, whether creating an over-the-top kajillian-tool masterpiece such as his horseman's or champagne knife, or dialing in the essence of elegant simplicity, as in your knife here. What a beauty!

Just got back from the firing range myself. Kept hitting slightly low to the right which is odd for me. I have my 66 stockman in my right pocket. Maybe I should put it in my left pocket next time. :D

Ach, beautiful, Paul!

Will going to a BBQ to my parents in some hours. The Böker Sportmesser will be with me there. Like that great knife!

... In which our man Andi was ready for any and all food packaging and edible contingency he encountered over the next few hours. :D Handy knife, that!

I've been admiring the little pocket fixed blades I see here from time to time. I want one, but the ones I fancy are a little spendy for something I just don't know if I'll find comfortable or useful to carry. So recently, I found this cheap little China-made Browning in a pawn shop. I really like the shape and size of it. I made a messy looking sheath for it from some scrap, and am carrying it this weekend just to see how I like it. Kind of a test run.

....the little fixed blade is back in my pocket now. Back pocket? Left front pocket? I keep switching.

Looks good from here, r8shell!

I carried these all week...

...in this KSF Pocono pocket sheath. Ignore the mis-aligned lumps; I'd previously wet-formed the sheath to two different blades/tools, and am using it now with these to see how I like it. I really do!

The sheath keeps both items upright and aligned in my pocket-- back pocket, for me. Lacking even the semblance of leather-stitchy skills, I'm thinking of adding another Pocono and breaking it in more 'generically'-- although the Arno Bernard Porcupine might be a challenge to secure even so, being so much skeenier spine-to-blade/handle than the others.

(The top two, a Green River/VCM Patch Knife and the Bark River Mini Canadian, each have a squared-off, flatter sheath that works well in a the long side pocket of my work pants, and can be on my belt otherwise.)
