This beautiful Medium Barlow...It was a gift from Joe (J_curd) a few days ago. A late birthday present of sorts. The pull is probably a 7, gorgeous jet black African Blackwood, nice walk and talk, centered, a fine example of a Barlow. Couldn't be happier with it!!

Lovely photo! I should try the Viper... always have been fascinated by this knife, but never got around to trying it. Your photo now forces me to get one... :)

choombak - Thank you for the compliment :) Try one you won't be disappointed!

They are just like the potato chip, you can't just have one:D Got 4 and always looking for more :D

Been doing a little carpentry work for my three girls with these two on my side. the whittler for working and the scout bottle opener for relaxing in the evening. Here is quick picture of the play house. I'll post better ones once I'm complete. 1st floor is 8'x8', second is 8'x10', the girls can hardly wait.

More great knives Kris. That Lynch is very nice. How do you like that sheath by David Seward? I have three pieces from David that I like very much.

Very glad you enjoy it Kirby. You're a fine young man. As you know, I'm proud of you! It's the very least I could do for you getting me into Traditionals and me finding this group of the forum. Best surprise in nearly a decade of haunting this forum.

I decided to spend the evening catching up on this thread after a few weeks of chaos. A promotion at work, tons of travel, and wearing two hats while doing a somewhat poor job of being a good man for my lady...I've been distracted.

My pride had me wanting to post a few scores from Blade but after reading up I can do that later....to important things...

So very glad to hear you're doing ok Bob (BB). Best of luck dealing with whatever is next. You're one heck of a guy, and you shine bright to everyone you are around. Keep fighting the good fight. My best friend left me after fighting cancer for 14 years, and five relapses. He refused to give up, even when they initially gave him 2 years at best. Where there is a will my friend, I promise you. I have faith and prayers for you. If you need anything let me know.

Brett, terribly sorry for your loss. I cannot help but draw a correlation to the above story, as your recollections of your loss are filled with joy and not of sadness. I've come to realize that mourning in joy is selfless while mourning in sorrow is more akin to selfishness. You've got it sorted proper.

Glad I'm caught up. And you're all a joy to visit with. Have a great evening everyone.

Sorry for the novel Frank. I'll post pics soon to redeem myself.

Those MAMs are just great knives! I have that very one on my bench in the garage and it has been my go to knife for slicing cardboard since its arrival. Those nicely super thin ground blades just glide through whatever needs cutting. Glad to see someone else enjoying one
Sitflyer, I agree 100%. I can't believe a $12 knife keeps so many of my other knives sitting at home. If they came with carbon blades I think I would own every model they made! Mine was on duty again today.

Wow, beautiful Fremont Paul, I thought it was Ivory Very cool 308 round, no vampires up north I hope.

The postman brought me #63 today - intrigued by the feathered buffalo horn, I ordered it last week (since all Tuna Valley Railsplitters were sold out everywhere). Surprisingly I have started liking the multi-blade patterns and maybe even prefer them over single blade now - those 3 blades are so useful for various situations... Anyways, it was in my pocket since late afternoon and here are a few shots I captured while watching TV.

The Queen offering is solid, all blades are incredibly shark, walk and talk is great (a bit of grittiness in the pivot of main blade but that'll mostly go away with open-close cycles). Main blade is a good 7-8 pull, small blades are easy at 5-6. Buffalo horn has incredible smooth and dark texture, and I love the heft at 3.4 oz. D2 steel.

That's a beauty, choombak. That thing looks to be just about as sturdy as the buffalo it's made from. :D

Great pic of your knives and fantastic work on the playhouse

Beautiful knife Paul, you expecting werewolves? ;)

+1

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the notch in the blade?

Easy one handed open. Just hook the notch on your jeans pocket, bench top, or any suitable area and pull the blade open. Best used with a pocket slip as they like to chew up your pockets. ;)
