What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the notch in the blade?
I'm a rookie here too, but I think it is for opening it with anything else but your second hand. (one arm bandit?)
Today I have a Kutmaster Coffin in my pocket. Fine blades, finish ok though not up to the Case leve and far from that splendid 63 Queen.
Quite exotic to us here and very practical (and unexpensive too!).

Easy one handed open. Just hook the notch on your jeans pocket, bench top, or any suitable area and pull the blade open. Best used with a pocket slip as they like to chew up your pockets. ;)

Can't seem to get a good shot of the maroon micarta on this City Knife, regardless of the light. But I am totin' these today nonetheless :).

Thanks Chris, I really like the sheath, the build quality is on par with the top sheath makers.

That is probably the nicest sheath that I have ever seen Kris, I know that's not saying much, but the color contrast and the Oak leaves are fantastic. Congrats on the Blackhawks win.

My new pride and joy...this knife is totally perfect in every way. My photos are another story.

Joel Chamblin MOP single spring.

This 1916 Keen Kutter I just got in the mail from Jon Slider has bumped the TC out of my pocket for the rest of the day. Thanks Jon! :D

Thanks Dave, I like how the oiled bone is aging:thumbup: No Vampires needed as GEC is managing to suck my bank account dry on its own:o

Beautiful knife Paul, you expecting werewolves? ;)+1

Thanks Jack, just like to be prepared just in case;):)
