What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks. This jacket is a Filson canvas jacket with wool lining, made in Seattle. Like old knives, they can be found in excellent condition in vintage clothing stores in the Northwest.

The great thing about Filson jackets is the multitude of pockets. Knives get lost in them, only to be rediscovered the next winter!

Boy, ain't that the truth! :o

#38 Lick Creek Farmer's Jack, LT Wright Patriot

These two every day for the past week, these two every day for the foreseeable future, no matter what else comes alongside (with a caplifter/screwdriver) for a day or three.

sturzi Nice red sand and a deep richly covered knife.

Thanks, the colour of the cocobolo really comes out in the sun but is quite hard to capture.

So we have another snuff fiend on The Porch! :D Hope you had a great trip Sturzi

Haha, well guess who's to blame for that. I only knew the English mentholated snuffs (which are just torture for you nose) until Andi offered me a pinch of that delicious Bavarian stuff.

The trip was great, maybe I'll post some pictures in the lounge sometime this week.

I am carrying this Northwoods Broadway Jack. I have been carrying a Northwoods all week. Most of this week was my new to me Freemont Jack in amazing cocobolo!

GEC and Derrick to make some fine knives TX, I can't wait to try my hand at the 15 frame again with the TC and the Scouts.

Chilly day today so I'm hunkering down with my dog, a good read, a dog paw, cuppa tea and my dogleg.

LOL! :D Your travel photos are always a treat my friend

This little TC Barlow is a fairly thin knife for a GEC, my choice for dress pants, a nice carry for church clothes. Now I just need to get to church more often. :o

I carried my new Victorinox Electrician most of the day, then switched to my Case Sodbuster Jr. for the evening. (The soddie makes a much smoother carry in shorts.)
...
Nice pair, Dadpool!:thumbup: For what it's worth, I carry a silver Electrician and a chestnut bone Sodbuster Jr simultaneously every day; just sayin' :D!

Some great pictures today!

77 kept me company today.
...
That apple should keep the doctor away, Mike; nice 77!

...
Totin' the black Cadet today.
...
Nice photo; I have lots of old LPs in the basement that I should be taking advantage of for knife shots! ;)

That knife is nothing but stunning!:eek::thumbup:

Hope everyone has a good weekend
...
You too, Jack! Any part of the week has to seem better with knives like your Davison or the BF stag you showed later.:)

...Attractive and interesting Languiole.
...
Thanks, Stephen; it's a cheap "no-name", but if I can thin out the blade, I'll use it a LOT, I think. :) (I first read your post last night, shortly after hearing a musical guest named Peter Rowan (?) on NPR's Prairie Home Companionmention that he used to play in a band called "Old and In the Way". Interesting coincidence.)

It must be redundant Rob, but your pictures are STUNNING, I mean of course you have great subject matter but the knife looks so deep and rich with color...can you imagine the miracle you could work at the DMV, people would actually be happy showing their drivers license picture:D:thumbup:
...
LOL! That is some imaginative thinking right there, Paul. Primble at the DMV could be a real moony-maker!

Still carrying these 2 today . ...
G.T. :The Background Boards are actually a side of an old box that was in the house we bought in 1973 and when we built a new house , I brought it with us. I know nothing about the company mentioned. I just thought it somewhat appropriate for a background for something that chops..
Harry
Your 73 still has me drooling, Harry! Thanks for the background on your LF&C box; interesting that you haven't run across any of their "Universal" knives. Here's a photo of the one Markesharp gave me; it's very cool IMHO. :D

Cool photo of your stockman, Ryan; lotta empty space out there!:cool:

Case SBJ for me this fine Sunday morning :) Hoping all you Ladies and Gentlemen are having a wonderful weekend :D
...
Your SBJ is a beauty, Ron; wonderful weekend wishes to you as well! :D

I like the "dueling stag" photo, Mark; two very different-looking approaches to stag covers!

...
Im just carrying two today.
...
VERY nice Brett; your new peanut is outstanding!:thumbup: What's the "official" name of the color of the handles? It looks like current chestnut jigged bone to me, but may have been something different earlier?

These 2 SAKs, a Minichamp and Huntsman, were among the knives I carried all last week, and are still with me today. (Hope to make my selections for this week before I head to bed soon.)

Thought I'd mix it up a little for the next week.
I'll be carrying a Buck 301, SAK "Recruit" and in a used belt pouch that fits it, my Opinel number 8.
