What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you sir! It's a John Lloyd with Westinghouse Micarta....It's one of my most favorite knives! Nice boy's knife, can't beat the 15s, great jigging!
What is that beauty Mark? I like the...I believe that is natural micarta on that one?

Had an LP, Injections and then it was like a deli line..but for blood. So I thought a boys knife in red was fitting :D

Thanks Rick !!!

Mark, I have two CS pinch lock backs. This one and one CS made for KABAR's Dog's Head line. Both pinch lock backs have "gaps" along the spine, greater than I'm accustomed to. That said, the walk and talk is quite smooth. The KABAR has a little blade play at lockup but this one is tight. At lockup, the spring/blade transition is ever so slightly below the bolster on the CS/KABAR whereas on this one, the transition is every so slightly above the bolster.

I also have a Dog's Head barlow CS made for KABAR (like Steve's pictured above) ... it is virtually flawless.

All said and done, I like the CS pinch lock back and would have another in a heartbeat, but don't expect museum quality fit and finish. All my knives are users and the pinch lock back is a good 'un.

HA !!! Maybe we are related LOL

I had my yeller peanut out last night admiring it and touching up the edge. Love the peanut and hope the patina develops as nicely on mine as it has thus far on yours oldmanrunning. Nice

77 Yankee Jack. I darkened up the light Ebony a bit. It was much lighter, but I'm thinking I'll darken it some more although it's not bad where it is now.

That's some beautiful bone on that barlow Gevonovich !!!
Please tell me a little about that barlow. Who made it, when and anything anecdotal. The barlow pattern is one I'm currently pretty interested in. Thanks

That's Ebony, Bob? Whoa !!! My first glance, I thought it was Cocobolo. I bet it will darken naturally with carry and use. What did you use to darken it? As light as that Ebony was, it may have been quite unusual for Ebony and I prolly would have left it as is ... dunno

Nice Barlow Gevo!

I like having the punch on this knife, Case did well to produce this pattern,

CV blades and SS punch, curious why they chose that...

Great shot, beautiful old barlow Gevonovich.

Thank you, Dave:D
