What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That's Ebony, Bob? Whoa !!! My first glance, I thought it was Cocobolo. I bet it will darken naturally with carry and use. What did you use to darken it? As light as that Ebony was, it may have been quite unusual for Ebony and I prolly would have left it as is ... dunno

Yessir. It isn't unusual. GEC did a whole run of the 77's with light Ebony wood.

One of my customers runs a produce stand down the road and brings me gifts occasionally. Ice cold cantaloupe and a sharp TC Barlow make a great afternoon break.

Thank you GT. Really like that stockman with the yellow covers. Lots of life left~
Thanks, Tim. :) Glad I grabbed that Kutmaster stockman to carry this week.

I carried this one today :D
...
Fantastic knife, Ron; the lambs foot blade and rich covers are classic! :cool::cool:

...Carrying the 77 again today.
...
Great looking 77, Mike! :thumbup::)

...
Bearing in mind that I've spent much of the past 20 years in front of a keyboard, you'd think I'd be able to answer that in a shot GT! :D But, my answer is 'Errr...I think so"! :D I'm pretty sure it's standard here in Britain, but they are different in France and Spain I think, maybe elsewhere in mainland Europe. You're a good observer my friend :thumbup:

That RR Half-Hawk is a great knife I think, I've had 3 so far and everytime I get a new one I end up giving it away! :D :thumbup:

...Earl is getting restless, think I'm going to have to take him somewhere tomorrow :thumbup:
...
Thanks for attempting to answer my off-topic question, Jack. ;) I'm not sure I'm a particularly good observer, but I AM an atrocious typist, so I spend many hours per week watching a finger or two on each hand hunting and pecking across the keyboard, and thus burning a visual image of the keyboard into my brain. :o I like the Half-Hawk, but I'm always surprised how BIG it is, especially how "broad" it is. I'm touched that you're considering EARL's feelings, but that rascal has to learn some patience! :mad:

Got a new wallet yesterday. Sting ray and sea snake. I think I'll carry this combo today.
...
That's a striking photo, addylo; the knife covers and your wallet complement one another extremely well! :eek::thumbup::thumbup::cool:

My uncle's old red bone barlow.
...
Great barlow, Nate! :thumbup::)

...Totin' my Humphrey Muley and Northfield 92 today:
...
Primble, the color and grain of the handles and the cloud shield work together splendidly; wow!! :thumbup::thumbup:

...
Gevo, that Ulster barlow and/or your photo of it are astonishing; what a superb knife! :eek::cool::thumbup::D

Remington R-4 and Case delrin punch stockman today.
...
That's a power couple right there! :D:thumbup:

Great photo, Andi!! :cool::cool::p Pioneer and Texas Jack?

Congrats on the Menefee Zulu, Kyle; that's one FINE knife! :thumbup::thumbup:

This week I'm carrying THREE (count 'em) SAKs simultaneously; what a country we live in!! Silver Electrician, Green Farmer, and red celidor Minichamp:

Gev, That is a classical beauty of a Barlow my friend :D:D:D

77 Yankee Jack. I darkened up the light Ebony a bit. It was much lighter, but I'm thinking I'll darken it some more although it's not bad where it is now.

Bob, it is looking good my friend! :thumbup:

Fantastic knife, Ron; the lambs foot blade and rich covers are classic! :cool::cool:
