Super pic Gevo !!! :eek::thumbup::thumbup::)

Nice Barlow Gevo!

I like having the punch on this knife, Case did well to produce this pattern,

I agree Duane. Strange about the punch steel.:thumbup::)

Primble, the color and grain of the handles and the cloud shield work together splendidly; wow!!:thumbup:

This week I'm carrying THREE (count 'em) SAKs simultaneously; what a country we live in!! Silver Electrician, Green Farmer, and red celidor Minichamp:

Thanks GT ! You ought to be prepared for about anything with those three. :)

Primble, that is a beautiful 92 my friend :thumbup::thumbup:

This #47 finds its way into my pocket at least once or twice every week :D

Thank you Ron. That 47 is a beauty. I love the Wharncliffe blade and threaded bolster.:)

I hate falling behind in this thread because there's too many knives to compliment! But I did see (in no particular order)

A Davison that I want

A nice color job on a Yankee Jack

Pete's faithful peanut that is awesome

A nice wild boar, rifle and knife (all excellent!)

Kyle's new Zulu!

Andi's nice Texas Jack

Chris eating vegetarian

GT has the Italian Flag of Swiss Knives...

A beautiful railsplitter!

Some sweet barlows and a few more Case's

And of course the Rust Red #15 that I egged Tim into buying so that I wouldn't.

Whew!!!! I think that just about covers it?

I'm carrying this one today and since its later in the evening, I'm going to carry it tomorrow as well. Looking forward to seeing all of your choices. Thanks to everyone for making this place enjoyable!

Gev and Primble - thanks for the compliments Gentlemen :) I love all the Vipers, but I think

the GEC stainless models are hands down the best lookers, with the shield and threaded bolsters!:D

Some great knives today, I miss having access to mine but my Northwoods are great tools and serve me well. The presidential has been hard to put down and the spear has really grown on me for edc.

Nice Davison as always Jake, just put a fresh edge on the 15. :)

That's a great presidential Jeff. You and Sadsappysucker put those to good use!

Thanks Tim, we certainly do :D

I work construction and rarely use a utility knife. The wharnie sure works great as a secondary blade and the spear is a workhorse. The Presidantial is pretty dang.close to my perfect knife.

As much as we love to keep our traditionals pristine I love the fact that I know they can stand up to harder use Jeff. I second with Jake

The Beer Patina on that one is unreal Scott

That right there is a great looking knife, showing signs of regular use. Great blade combo too!

@ Gevonovich and Primble, thanks guys :) Not around as much these days but I still cruise through to check out this thread especially, so much eye candy all around, I love to see all the variety of what's being toted :)

Good question Jake

Ill get to blade shapes in a minute. My biggest changes to this knife would be half stops, I really prefer them. If I was having it made as a custom the handle would be just a hair shorter and if the cuttler maximized the blade length to the frame(unlike GEC) the blades would stay the same length. Thats really my only changes, small and petty but its very close.

I have adjusted to the spear/wharnie combo just fine but I do have to compromise my main blade for some dirty jobs do to the very delicate tip of this very thin and flexible wharnie.

For me the combo of clip and sheepsfoot still has more utility. The belly on a clip and spear to me are equally as strong, the tip on most clips are just as or more pointy then wharncliffes. This is a huge feature for me for pierce cutting and I cant tell you how valuable it is for me to pick out splinters with that thin pointy tip. I know, carry some tweezers but honestly I carry to much stuff in my pockets as is. I like multi-use items :)

The sheepsfoot is just the best secondary blade for utility imho. Now dont get me wrong, my love of the wharncliffe is well documented. If I did not work construction I would be content with the presidential and doubt I would have.many dirty tasks that risk the fine tip on the wharnie.

All said if this could be my only knife I would be A O.K. with it. Like I said, very close to perfect amd im really just splitting hairs

^ not splitting hairs at all Jeff. We all have seen what a difference an 1/8" makes in handle length or how much a blade shape and can vary. Adding all of these small differences together produces a totally different knife.

The Fit and finish on this GEC Beer Scout is AMAZING! Did not know what to think... But now I think I may never let this one go! WOW!
And it Glows!!!

This #72 was my first GEC and 'sold' me on the Brand (Breed:rolleyes:???) Often slips in to my "going to town" jeans when I stumble out of the bush & into the big smoke.
