That Powderhorn sure is a magnificent knife, Duane! I could look at that one every day!
You definitely deserve a rest, Jack! Thanks my friend, after a fortnight with Earl, I'm glad to take it easy for a while
That's a good working pair, Andi gifted me a RR Sowbelly Stockman 2 or 3 years back, mine is in smooth tobacco bone with an acorn shield, nice pattern
Great pic of a fine old knife, Sean; thanks! Thanks! He's a distant cousin to be sure. Not a whole lot of info around to date them more specifically than "sometime between the wars", but they're definitely round about the same vintage. Here's my best pic of the Schrade. Posing with books of similar age.

That's quite a story with that knife; thanks for sharing it! I hope we can see another photo soon! (Or maybe I should plan a knife-viewing road trip, since I noticed you're in Hesperia and I'm over in Grand Rapids. That's an intriguing knife that I want to see more of, W.M.B. What is it? Does it have horn handles that are out of this world???[emoji106]
That is an old Mklein and sons hawk bill, that my wife's grandfather found, run over, in the road. I reworked it a while back. I raise sheep, and decided to use the horn from one of my rams that was headed off to the freezer. Thank you for the compliment![]()
David, you have (or, had? where do you store all these beauties you post??) some incredible knives, including lots of stunning custom jobs!
