What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It felt rather satisfying to slip these two in my pocket today (less satisfying to have to scroll through page after page of Earl photos in my Photobucket account!) :)
Hey Jack, great to see that beautiful pair again. Great choice of carry.

I am going to start the day with the IRJ :) Hope everyone has a great day :)
I love that blue IRJ Ron:thumbup:

Great picture and what a beautiful ( and well patina'd knife), Dave!! It's been cutting into a lot of steak lately:D:thumbup::thumbup:
Thanks Gevonovich :) I think it is helping with a healthful diet, I have been eating more apples, mangoes, lingonberries, etc. and of course Steak:D

Beautiful photo:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

 Very nice Mark

Funny thing, I found the Prez on the exchange as well :)
Great score, love the photo of it today also.

Thank you Tim and Sean and Dave ! Nice 77 Sean and nice 73 Dave.:)
Thanks Primble :D

Really beautiful gift from Duncan, you are in our thoughts and prayers Bob and I really hope you are able to get through it ok.

Nice contrast with that city knife and horn scout Tom. Really nice pair.

Wow, the stag looks great on that 92 Sean:thumbup:

Thanks, Dave; I do have a severe case of Alox Pox! ;)
I had pretty much decided I'd never buy a GEC knife, but Dave, your stag 73 (and Harry's and Brett's and Ryan's and Paul's and Mark's and Christian's) are sure making me reconsider my position!:o Such absolutely beautiful knives!:thumbup::D

Thanks GT, The Chestnut Bone covers look great on your sodbuster.

Dave Thank you, that 73 just gets better and better
Thanks Ron:D:)

Finally decided to carry this one dot Case. And of course it was accompanied by my ever present peanut.
Great looking pair of Case knives ms3902:thumbup:

You need a cargo shirt and jacket to carry all those beauties, what an amazing collection of barlows Primble.

Very nice Stephen, Sunday and Monday were great also. :D

Just another uneventful night at the office
Great photo of your Erickson Jake. Wish my office looked that good.:D

Now that ^^^ is an awesome photo of an awesome knife David.

Sorry I haven't been around lately guys. It's been just crazy down here. First it was a trip to AR with a 3 day turnaround, then back home to Texas. The last 3 days have been spent packing and moving. Today was the "official" big day, unfortunately we're only 3/4 done. We should wrap it up on Thursday tho.

There's been so many wonderful knives posted, I can't comment on them all. But a blanket statement goes out to everyone, AWESOME knives!!
Throughout all this mess and upheaval, I've carried my stag 73 and my kabar scout every day:) they've been a welcome tool set.👍🏻

Photobucket seems to not be working for me at the moment, so no pics :(
I'm sure yall already know what they look like anyways😅
Have a wonderful night everyone!
Moving is soooooo much work but I am sure it will be worth it after you finish. Good luck with the move Ryan. I miss seeing your 73 but I looked at mine all day. ;):D

I was in the mood for a stockman today but you guys got me into carrying 2 knives now so I had this one in addition to my 73.

You definitely deserve a rest, Jack! :p:thumbup: Thanks for the kind words about my knives :); whenever I put my RR Sowbelly Stockman in my pocket, it stays there for longer than I originally intended! Yours with smooth tobacco bone and acorn shield must look very nice; I really like that particular combination.

Thanks GT :) The Sowbelly was only my second RR, but I was impressed, and I also like that combination of acorn shield and smooth tobacco bone

Hey Jack, great to see that beautiful pair again. Great choice of carry.

Thanks a lot Dave, that's a great-looking Stockman, I might have to carry a Stockman myself this week

You've inspired me to carry mine today Stephen

Thanks Tim !!! And thanks Jackie ;) ... i have WAY too much time LOL
Eric (ea42) did an AWESOME job replacing the Delrin with Mammoth on that one :)

Some patina starting to show on my case and Opie. Faithful carries, really enjoying the CV, a bit softer than I'm used to but sharpens right up.

I really love this new Muskrat. It fills the hand but is so slim in the pockets, it cuts like a demon, having a second blade that is identical seemed repetitive to me before owning one but now I really enjoy it, and I love that it's at home in the office or my blue jeans while doing yard work. It's a great pattern I wish I would have given an honest chance years ago!

As you may know, here in Canada, we can open carry fixed blades in a sheath.

Not in Michigan. I'm jealous.

If you live in the same Michigan as me, you can open carry anything that is legal to own in our State. Including all fixed blades. If you're hunting you can concealed carry your fixed blade.

Michigan law's biggest restrictions are on carrying a "dagger, dirk, razor, stiletto, or knife having a blade over 3 inches in length, or any other dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument" when you plan to harm to someone else. So just don't stab anybody and you should be all set.

I think you should read our laws, they're really pretty lax. Sorry to derail the thread a bit, but I didn't want Michiganders thinking Canada had better knife laws...

Certainly every Michigander should read both our "dagger and dirk" law and our "dangerous weapon" law.
It's not my field and I'm not offering legal advice. I have withdrawn my original derailment.

I thought this was stainless when I bought it in an antique mall last week.
