What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Gevonovich, haha, that is quite a compliment and I really appreciate it. I do feel very fortunate to have some of my fathers things that were important to him. :D

HSM - Forgot to say,,,,,,,,,,,,,Nice 73:thumbup: Time to BBQ for me too. !!

These are some old pictures of my 73 in Stag but I have carried it every day since I received it. I hope they enable some of you guys who are thinking about it.

P.S. Just noticed the box...( couldn't see the forest for the tree;))now that is cool!!!

Knew I'd be dissecting an old recliner today to get the foam to bolster the back of a used sagging lovesat (got to re-purpose when you can;)) So used my #38, was effortless gutting the fabric on that old recliner---Talon like:eek:

Harry, the stag on those two is perfect. Great pics too.

Chris
Thanks Chris . I don't carry the one for my Granson's Christmas , I was just trying to help Gevo and others. Ryan , Paul , Mark , Dave , Brett and probably others have such great ones also as you know too.

Gifted my case yella peanut this weekend so I pulled this little fella out of the bullpen for warmup. Ulster peanut probably made by Camillus.

I truly like the Fremont Jack - so much so that I have a few of them. More so than the Broadway jack, which I find to lack "girth".

I'd love to get a hawkbill knife, but I've been putting it off because I'm not sure I'd be able to sharpen it :( I tend to shy away from knives I cannot sharpen.

Just got this Scout in the mail so I thought I would post it with my daily driver (73) and my Fathers 66 year old Cub Scout membership card.

That is a amazing scout my friend, that's cool that your dads old scout papers and still around.

This Boker serpentine jack in 440C and olive wood. I tend to call it a "stockman jack" because the blades are a clip and a sheepsfoot.

I know this is not an impressive submission to the thread. Pictured with my BK24, It's just a Colonial Ranger. I got it at a yard sale for $1.00 teo days ago, and it was looking pretty haggard. All rust and no bite, haha. Anyway, I cleaned and sharpened it up last night, and took this pic today (Still have to figure out how to clean the scales though..) I'm loving this thing so much. Might be a while before it ever leaves the pocket.

Whoa that's nice!! Love the kick on it and everything else!! I am with Duane....say hi to ADEE and Scuff for me! Have a wonderful time and an ale for me. I'm keeping an eye out for some DVD's of Lonesome Dove:D

Thanks Jack :) I've been meaning to ask you about Scruff...say hi for me.

P.S. I've got to agree with Gevo on that Joseph Haywood! I love the old school kick on that beauty

Jack - That Haywood is a jewel  Enjoy your trip :)

Back home for the afternoon so I dropped this MAM in the pocket. It is so light I can hardly tell it is even there

Fantastic knife Jack, striking features, love the covers, kick, swedge, etc. :D

I hadn't expected to have time to post this morning, but insomnia kicked me out of bed even earlier than my early alarm! Thanks for all the kind comments on my Haywood guys, it was gifted to me by the ever-generous 'Old & In The Way'. I really must get some better pics of this one as it has some great old knife features. As well as the ones mentioned, it has a flaring spring, something which we just don't see anymore, and which I find quite fascinating. The knife itself is no fatter than my finger, weighs very little, and disappears in my pocket, but is still a very useful size, and that lovely old steel sharpened up like old steel does :)

I'll be sure to say Hi to ADEE and Thom, they're both well, and owe this forum some time!

I love the clean lines of your MAM Ron

Cool to see your dad's old papers Dave, and that's a great pair of knives to have with you

Looks like a great knife to me Tom. We're no snobs here :) Classic lines and blade style accompanied by a great photo mate.

Buck 112 (about 1990 vintage) It now has that pocket-worn tactile feel that only time can add.
