Very cool knife Jack! I have to pick up a Joker one of these days. That wood looks great on it.

Thank you Dave, perfect duo to combat any bbq tasks. Really enjoy everyone's 73's as of late, I need to get one in hand to see how it feels (always looked just a touch bottom heavy to me)

Your first GEC looks great Tim !!! Yeah, the 73 really does feel great in hand but you are right about it being bottom heavy especially in stag. Balances perfectly with 2 fingers in the middle of the handle, haha. I appreciate a knife that balances so perfectly that when you open your hand palm up and then turn the bottom of your hand down it balances on your index finger but that doesn't happen with most slipjoints. The blade profile is awesome also.

The whittler along with the "Swiss army knife of pens" that my Daughter gave me should have all the bases covered today.

Man I love that Whittler in ebony. What a great gift from your daughter! love that McGyver SAK pen clutchcarter.

Thank you Dave, haha now that's a hard sell for a 73, may have to check one out after seeing so many on here. The SAK is the staple classic :)

Likewise oldmanrunning, this turned out amazing. Was it just soaked in strong tea for a duration and then flushed out with oil?

Thanks, guys! This knife has quickly become my go to. I have better, more expensive knives but I cannot keep this out of my pocket!

I soaked the knife up to the pivot area with about 5 tea bags for no less than 8 hours. The picture I posted does not accratly depict the beauty! I need to take an outside shot.

When done soaking I rinsed with water and took some "canned air" and flushed out all the important parts then oil, oil, oil!!!!

Please post pictures post soak!
