What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Sorry about your luck. Sean came the closest ! It is an old primitive feed scoop. So - a copycat I am not. ;):D:D

I was inspired by Tom's Primble yesterday: Wyeth Hdwe. Scout

What in the heck 'ya been cuttin' with that blade!!!???

Time.

I bought it in this condition off the bay. The previous owner sharpened it to about a 5 degree edge using what appears to be a very, very rough grit grinding wheel. It's stupid sharp, if toothy, but one wrong move and the edge will chip. I'm still trying to decide whether to grind it down and reprofile it.

Interestingly, the chip does not line up with the bail as I assumed it would, so it was chipped some other way.

I got my new favorite with me today.
Case CV Sodbuster made this year.
Cutting up a pickled sausage right now. Really helping to darken the patina.

Burnside Jack today

That eschwebach is a beautiful picture of a handsome knife. Haven't seen a Burnside jack since I joined the forum. my wife's and I had our engagement/wedding rings made by a craftsperson under the Burnside Bridge back in 1982. It's a looker!

Here is a better shot. Still looks a tad darker in person. After a nice wipe down and touch up on the extra fine stone.
