What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Woodrow Head Cheese? You're kidding right? This is what I think of that stuff :barf::barf::barf:
Nice knife tho! :D
[/IMG]

No sir, I am not kidding. I thought it was gross until I tried some. Folks down here have some serious skills when it comes to making food.... crawfish, head cheese, tasso, boudin, turducken, bbq shimp (and I don't mean on the grill!)..... South Louisiana has a magical way with food sir!

Do you keep the knives in the sheath positions shown? If so, why do you keep the folder in the slot which is shaped for a fixed blade?

Hey Sean - no, they just balance on the shealth better that way for a photo :). The fixed goes in the fixed slot and the folder in the other.

I'm really glad you said that. It's always made me inexplicably uncomfortable when I see your pictures (which are great) and think about them in the wrong slots. And this is coming from a guy who crams a flashlight in the fixed blade hole. I contain multitudes. I wish I could get into a fixed blade carry, those City knives are awesome.

The Adirondack is a great sheath. Pic of mine (with Fremont to keep it traditional)

Carrying my white bone Beer Scout Knife today. :)

That Wheel IS awesome. And it appears that the big wheel keeps on turnin'! ;)

Thanks GT :) Yes my friend, all good apart from the hour I had to spend in the waiting room! :grumpy: ;)

Hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter, she's going to be tired after that long flight :) Once again, I must admire your Senor Martinez :)
Thanks, Jack; it's good to have her home for a while. :) My Martinez continues to surprise me. I was surprised that the blade turned out to be stainless even after extensive discussion with the merchant about my desire for carbon steel. Now, when I got it out to carry this week, I found a surprising amount of rust on the liners in the blade well!:(

...
Just came in the mail, my brand new case chestnut bone cv peanut!!!!
Congrats, jdc!:thumbup: I have a chestnut bone CV Sodbuster Jr and swayback jack; gotta get a matching peanut like yours. :p

...
Thanks GT, I'm so glad you're Daughter is visiting and the JJ Martinez "Spanish sodbuster" is a great knife and reminder. The Imperial and 34OT were very nice of davek14:thumbup:
...Pete got me interested in my Eisenhower but I had to bring the 73 to the BBQ also.
...
Thanks, Dave. :):) Nice pic of your stag 73 and Eisenhower; those are two models with which I'm currently infatuated!

...I'm going all 'continental' today ;)
...
Very nice Joker, Jack!:cool: Is it relatively new? I remember seeing a larger Joker that you've posted often, but I don't remember this one. I have one rather similar, except with horn handles and a saber grind drop point blade (maybe not that similar after all :D). Is there a special term to describe the "filework" on the liners along the spine (mine DOES have that in common with yours, along with the blade etch, handle shape, and pivot pin)?

Just a little 'nut today:
...Eric
That's a VERY fancy Peanut, Eric!! :cool::cool:

...Jack
It reminded me to get out my Aitor Castor!! And of course your meeting with Scruff
...
Splendid Aitor, Gev!:thumbup: I have the same pattern, but made by Cudeman.

I'm finally off midnights and back on day shift!!🎉🎉👍🏻 it hurt to leave my beloved 73 at home, but I've been neglecting this one so bad I felt guilty and had to carry it today:D
...
Ryan, you'd be surprised how many knives you can carry simultaneously; you don't HAVE to leave that justifiably-beloved stag 73 home! :D:D

Utica EO and Schrade Cut. Co. EO today:
...
Those stupendous EOs necessitated and EKG for me, Primble!:eek::thumbup::thumbup:

Sorry for the delay. Ot has been a long day at work.
It is the 72 carpenter's whittler
...
That was taken right after I cleaned it all up.
Holy cow, Erik, that knife is absolutely superb!:eek::cool:

...My wannabe Beer Scout
...
Good one, Dave! :p I'd call it the ORIGINAL Beer Scout!! :D

...Carrying these two old friends today ;)
...
I think Tim commented that all we need is a Batman, since we had a Jack and Joker a couple of days ago. Looks like you took that to heart, Jack; you're carrying a fine pair of Dark Knights, er, Knives, today!!:D

I've fallen (behind) and I can't catch up with this thread! :( Too busy trying to wrap things up so we can go away for vacation starting on Saturday. Her are a couple of knives I've been totin' this week:

I hope you all have a wonderful time my friend :) I have had similiar experiences all over Europe

Thank you :) My girlfriend picked it up for me in Barcelona a while back, and was also told it was carbon - which it isn't. There may well be a term for that style of spine, but I'm afraid I don't know it. Perhaps the Joker site may reveal something? I found them to be a very helpful company when I had cause to contact them in regard to a different knife

It's easily done! ;) Have a fantastic vacation GT. That's some very nice jigging there

Ron that scout is ugly all right. I will gladly take it off your hands and make sure that it is properly disposed of asap.:D

seriously - if you decide to sell one let me know :)

You guys are too kind with your offers of assistance :D

TGIF and Rendezvous week on top of that, WOW!!! :D I had the Stag Jack today during work :)

When I got home I had a Ice Cold Coke and a Big Smile with this Soda Scout :D

That eschwebach is a beautiful picture of a handsome knife. Haven't seen a Burnside jack since I joined the forum. my wife's and I had our engagement/wedding rings made by a craftsperson under the Burnside Bridge back in 1982. It's a looker!

the coppersmith barlow today

How long did it take the coppersmith to look all pretty like that?! I want one but the new copper is too "nice" for me.
