Thanks Gary !!! In the late 50's early 60's my dad collected a few coins here and there from ones in circulation. I inherited his complete Franklin set in 1979. The Buck 500 is a recent addition. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and finish of this Buck. It's as good or better than some of the older Bucks I have, even if the modern materials used, may or may not be as good.

I'm off over to see ADEE today and visit his local fleamarket. Got a few knives in my bag, and this Howarth Lambsfoot in my pocket. Have a great day everyone

I owe this knife to a member of this forum. Every time I pick it up it reminds my how great people can be. A gentleman's knife from a gentleman. Thank you.

Primble, your new Old Boiley turned out well! ()

Just noticed that my favourite knife shop has knife just like this on sale. How usefull is that pruning blade in general use?

I'm finding it astonishingly well-suited to most tasks I run into day-to-day. As in, I'm surprised at how much I enjoy having this knife along, and how intuitively useful the main blade is proving to be.

Thank you. The knife I mentioned is GEC Tidioute Farmers Jack with green micarta handles. I'll consider it.

Thank you Sarah. You have far more pocket time with the FJ than I do. I can add that the main is incredibly stout. :)
