Enabler. ;)
I really need one of those. Beautiful. I had the hardest time deciding between that and the mountain man just wednesday night... the MM won out that time. :D

I hear you. I have been lusting after a Mountain Man for a while now...Hmmmm maybe this weekend.:)

Whoa Elliot, A Hanson Trapper in incredibly lustrous stag crafted up old style leaving those covers as they should be right to the bolster. That is a perfect example of Don's work. Well executed in every respect.

Pocketed today.. Here is one that was given to me by one very kind blade-brother in here all the way from New Zealand and landed a couple of days ago..

I couldn't be more tickled with this pattern, an old school style Fiddle Back Jack built by Queen for Blue Grass Cutlery with the Winchester stamps back in 1987. :)

You're a dog Anthony -- a "lucky dog". That is one sweet knife!!! The scales really set it off.:)

Thanks, Maxx. Don sure knows how to meld beautiful stag with forged steel!

(And the images still don't do it justice.)

woah, forged W2, drooly! that's cool, really cool!

I'm always amazed by the knives you show elliott
you have some of the nicest pieces I've seen here, for sure
Maxx

Oh for me it's the case stockman in molasses today, with a "in 1hr" made sheath (looks craaappy)

You don't often see many makers using good reliable W-2 either.

Best,
Anthony

Or forging the steel used in their pocket knives for that matter...

Thanks again, Maxx. That's very kind of you to say.

Quite True, Ed. I am a very Lucky old dog!. :D

This traditional community is made up of the finniest group of good natured folks on the world wide web today, bar none.. This knife was gifted to me by a fellow member that found out I was on the hunt for this particular slipjiont and took the good time, trouble and expense to hunt her down and and get her to me on the sly.

This has happened to me so often in here over the years, that I shouldn't be surprised and amazed of the likes of such uncommon and selfless caliber of character! But, it never ceases to amaze me of what fine company we are in here in the Traditional forum.

Anthony

John G., that Imperial is sweet.

Sunnyd, that's a nice Winchester; I've got one of them too. I sure like mine.

Elliott, super fine knife and named after you no less!!! :D

I'm carrying the Queen economy copperhead today:
