6347 in molasses bone, arrived this morning
great looking but with bad blade sharpening that will give me something to work on

Maxx

today again, most of the week it's been this one

small light sharp, nice piece
it's now sharper, I have stropped it a bit and the endges are still rough but they now cut, a polished convex will arrive when I'm in the "mood" for it

I like how simple this pattern/knife is, simple but effective and, a knife

I'm carrying the Queen economy copperhead today:

I am carrying the same!
It needed a lot of work on the grinds of the blades.
One side must have been 45 degrees, and it seemed to grind harder and longer than D2!

Both are now sharpened and stropped and are holding their edge very well .
I sharpened the skinners blade to less than 20 degrees and it is wicked.

A fine knife with or without the very reasonable price tag

Carrying my canoe today. It's a beautiful Sunday morning here.

Neeman, I think Queen's heat treat on those 1095 blades must be pretty good. But, man! Does it get sharp! Those knives are definitely the sleeper bargain out there I think. If Queen could figure out how to sharpen a knife, they'd have this knife building business pretty well down pat.

The blade on the canoe above is 1095 as well. I went through a stainless phase and I still like stainless, but I have to say that I'm beginning to really like the good ole 1095 carbon steel.

Nice! Elliott. I want to accumulate a few more Winchesters myself. That one looks like it's ready to work! - Ed J

Now if Queen could get these knives out of being sleepers!
The overall quality was as high as any other of their knives.
Nice crisp swedges ect...
And a really good carbon blade!

I just don't know how Queen does their marketing!

Elliott, that is a beauty, is that a recent aquisition (i.e. still available on the market), or have you been sitting on that one? I'm digging the "different" shields lately!!

I've had it for a few years and have shown it here on the forums in the past.
It's one of the three (Blue Grass Cutlery) Winchester reproductions I still own.

Worked the heck out of this one in yard yesterday, can pinch it open with gloves. I love being able to do that. Nicely rides in the pocket.
Another one by Rick.
