What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

^^^ Looks like it's getting the love it deserves Erik.

Beautiful day with the family panning for gemstones. Garnets to be exact. The odd Ruby pops up but not today. ;)

I believe I've got one of the same knife in my put away knives. Thinking I've had it since in the '70s or early '80s. Nice little knife. Back when I was carrying it, I believe I got so I could open it one handed even though it's not relly made to do that. :indecisiveness:

It's a 6063 Sportsman's Ultra Thin, made about 1980. Nice knives made by Alcas (subsidiary of Alcoa). They made some knives for Bowen as well.

Sounds like a great family activity Dan, 71 bullnose is a perfect companion for the outdoors, alongside the pup of course~

I haven't posted here in quite a while. I'm still carrying ol' faithful though...

For once I can be precise: 53.332301N 2.008219W. It's the western edge of the Peak District, north west of Whaley Bridge on Whaley Moor. Looking east over towards High Peak. The knife is resting on the 'Dipping Stones'; ancient cross shaft bases probably Anglo Saxon?

Thanks a lot Donn, lovely part of the world

Just - very slowly - coming into Spring on this side of the world, nicer weather to be out and about on my small farm, not exactly a "ranch" but had this #74 'Ranch Hand' with me.

Hope you get a good summer, cool pic

Thank you both. Dan, that 71 looks great! One in micarta has been on my radar for quite some time, but it just always seems to get pushed back in favor of something else.
Tim, what do those pink whale bumper stickers mean? I've wondered this for quite some time.

Nice Kris

Thanks Jack, hope all is well with you.

Interesting to know as mine was purchased back when I was just accumulating another knife whenever I saw something that caught my eye and added to what I already had and would carry until something else came along. Wasn't always looking for something else and never kept any boxes or packaging back then. Have been keeping boxes, etc. last couple years, after deciding I guess I was a collector, but would be a little tricky matching up some duplicates to the exact box it came in.
