What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the kind words, all, on the play house. Although it took more work than I originally thought, watching the girls squeel and giglly makes it all worth it. Have a good Labor day.

The girls have a great dad. Their squeals and giggles were a nice reward for a job well done.

Sounds like a great family activity Dan, 71 bullnose is a perfect companion for the outdoors, alongside the pup of course~

Indeed. Useful as well for detailed work such as moving small pebbles to uncover the garnets. ;)
The good looking pup is actually my sisters. She's a sweetie and a real mountain dog.
The little white guy on my mothers lap is my our's ( my wife's and mine ) :D

Very nice set up today! Seen your No 7 last week made me start carrying mine again.
Your Corgi looks a very very happy dog in all you pics! Must have a good life
.

Fantastic pics Dan, looks like a great time

Thanks JB. Great way to spend a sunny sunday

Thank you both. Dan, that 71 looks great! One in micarta has been on my radar for quite some time, but it just always seems to get pushed back in favor of something else.

Grab one Eric as they are a fantastic user with the canvas micarta. Seems your knives get a good workout so this one would fit your bill!

Here are two I have carried today and this Labor Day Weekend.. I want to say thank you to Rockon75 for the generous GAW he hosted last week. I'm am loving this #79 Workhorse in African Blackwood. I've used it every day since I got to cut fruit up for my son. The other is my trusty Beerscout that was used all weekend for some brews.

Nice duo Laughingbones, love those Workhorses:thumbup:

Great pictures today, happy Labor Day to all.

This one truly is a WORK KNIFE, just gets so screaming sharp:cool:

Lotta pocket goodies for Labor Day, Tim!:thumbup: Have a good one! (I think someone asked about the whale, and I was also wondering about its purpose/significance. Did I miss the explanation?)

...
Happy Labour Day my US friends

(just another Monday morning here :( )
Thanks for the holiday well-wishes, Jack! :) Classic Rodgers you're carrying today. Do you intend to use the hammer on the watch or on the knife??:eek::confused:

Northwoods Presidential today ...

I usually think that I don't care for red knives, but that is gorgeous, Jim!!:thumbup:

RR 3⅜" Eureka Stockman this morning.

That is a GREAT looking, and unique, Rough Rider, Jeff!!:cool: What's the model number?

...I'm carrying this for Labor Day.

Beautiful and relevant carry today, Dean!:cool:

boy's favorite.

There's another reddish knife that knocks my socks off!! Exquisite knife, Lemmy.:thumbup:

You crack me up, Rachel, but that is an AMAZING resemblance! :p:D

It was a long and darn stressy day at work... CASE SBJ was on my side today... cut some black bread and sausage for lunch :D

Even a tough day at work seems a little easier to take if you're carrying a swayback jack! That's a real winner, Andi! Hope tomorrow is a better day. ;)

I've always considered it a swell center. I have one with the coping where your small clip is and a pen where your coping is. It is a great knife that really cleaned up nice considering the condition I got it in.
I think I'll drop it in the pocket for today.

Superbly attractive knife, Erik, and a nice comparison to Rachel's.:cool:

Queen scout along for the ride today.

Really royal scout, Tom! When do you hope to get your custom sheath back?

...I have my 73 from Paul Hilborn in my pocket again today. :)

Mark, I've been drooling over the stag 73s for quite awhile, but your bone 73 is also doggone fetching - Wow!

I'm leaving early in the morning, heading over to see ScruffUK and ADEE, with some birthday presents for Thom. Slipping my newest oldest Barlow in my pocket ;)

Congrats again on your fine Ancient Barlow, Jack; hope you have a great birthday celebration! :D:p

Back home and straight into the pocket this one went! :D
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day Holiday ;)

Fantastic playhouse!:D Is that from a kit?? Sure seems like I saw someone else post one like that last spring!

Incredible knife and photo, Gary! On what is the knife resting that matches its curvature so well??

Thanks, it's a high power lens that was used in glass container inspection equipment that I picked up recently, when I saw the curve of the lens I had this shot in mind and the handle fit like a glove :)

here's a spine shot of that knife resting against the side of the lens, and both lens and knife are on top of some smoke Plexiglas above a light box...

Thanks Gary (GT) I really like the #73. That ole Imperial is like one I carried for years as a boy...scary how sharp you can get those old carbon blades, brings back great memories:thumbup:

Vinifera and 5K, thanks for the nice words about the little RR Eureka Stockman. It's model number 406.
