Very cool photo, Kris!:thumbup: (I look somewhat like your daughter each morning after I've had my oatmeal!...Wife and I took an extra day off to spend with our daughter

Congrats, Jolipapa; I'm a big fan of Rough Riders. The Rough Riders reached home today. Amazing knives for a ridiculous price! I got the bug.
Will try them this week (but I'll keep my ancient and the BS always near my hand)

Wow, what wonderful wood, Bob!
Nice, Andi; we don't see stainless GECs very often here.
That's a classic trio right there, John; triple threat!
Thanks for the additional color description, Jeff. When I see the "artist's rendition" of RR red jigged bone at vendors' sites, it always seems too bright red (or pinkish faded red) for my taste, but yours is very dark, rich red!I think the description when I bought it said dark red jigged bone. It's actually not as purple-looking as in that last photo, but more of a red wine color.
...
Splendid knife, Ken, but what's behind it? Is that a steel with an astounding stag handle??!!??As always, great knives today!!
Carried this one.

Congrats! Those are a couple of serious looking knives!:thumbup:
Congrats, Paul; that is "durn purty" stag on that older 73! Quite a different style of stag than on your 73 that you showed last night, but both are superb!:thumbup:Nice knives and pictures everyone:thumbup:
This Stag #73L from 2008 came today. I don't dis-like the liner lock but prefer it without but this was to durn purdy to pass up

I love everything about this knife! This is definitely one of my favorate knives I've seen on the forum yet.
You're the one responsible for that! And also the fact that I wanted to see what gives micarta on knives (they don't use it here) as I am very interested by some micarta 53/54 GECs.Congrats, Jolipapa; I'm a big fan of Rough Riders.I have a "work knife" like the bottom one (but in amber jigged bone). The top knife must be QUITE large!
Do you know its closed length?
Thanks for the holiday well-wishes, Jack!Classic Rodgers you're carrying today. Do you intend to use the hammer on the watch or on the knife??
.....
Congrats again on your fine Ancient Barlow, Jack; hope you have a great birthday celebration!![]()
I spent a couple of hours clearing chaparral this afternoon. The work calls for thick gloves, making a pocket knife hard to use. So I carried this small fixed blade which Vince (VCM3) gifted me last year.

Glad to see that one on you so consistently on you Jack, the scratted is my favourite of all the handle covers
Looks like a good time guys! Raise one for me!
Great knives, Kris! It sure looks like Paige is enjoying that oatmeal!
With me today.
