What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The Rough Riders reached home today. Amazing knives for a ridiculous price! I got the bug.
Will try them this week (but I'll keep my ancient and the BS always near my hand)

Vayu, the 66 Calf Roper Jack is among my favorite GEC patterns and that mammoth just puts it over the top.

Thanks. It is pattern that was very well executed by GEC.

I've got my trusty 83 again, don't really have much besides it but there is a little somethin' somethin' on its way through the mail. :D

Just got back from camping for three days. No cell service was nice. Cold beer, fires, the hikes and my girlfriend were much more important than my phone. Carried the Highland Special and Dowell trapper. The Dowell is acid etched A2 and carries an extreme edge.

Beautiful knife Erik !!!
Maybe it's just the picture, but the blade looks "as ground" rather than polished like most Northfield. I like that.
Also, I'm still trying to spot the difference between a 42, 72 and 83 lock back in close up pictures. I'm not sure which one this is LOL
... NICE !!!

My first Yellow Rose. :D

Thank you Jim, this one is the #83 and the blade is indeed satin rather than polished. I also prefer it that way.

Thanks for the info, Jeff; sure is a cool knife! :) Are the handles red jigged bone, or something darker?
- GT

I think the description when I bought it said dark red jigged bone. It's actually not as purple-looking as in that last photo, but more of a red wine color.

And Bob, that is some lovely coco on the #66.
