What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Sam, I can certainly see why you'd think it was horn, but it's actually ebony with a high-polish.

Carrying my Davison today :) Hope everyone has a great Sunday

Thanks for the info Jack, it's got some lovely character for ebony:) Love seeing that Davidson, such nice proportions.

I've hand rubbed the faces of the bevels and the liners and spring leaving the chamfered edges of the bevels polished. I'm interested to see how this influences the patination.

Have a grand Sunday all:)

Sam

^^Your 77 barlow is looking great Sam.

I've got this one with me today.

This British Clasp Knife was with me today... a knife I was generously gifted by our fellow forum member Paul (pmew)

I've had my eye on this slim little French knife for quite awhile now. When this one showed up on the Exchange, I decided it was time. I'm sure you'll recognize one of Gary Graley's little sheaths. I got this knife from Gary and my first impression is very positive. What a great little EDC this is going to be!

I would be quite happy with that Northfield. What is the handle material called and is that one steel bolstered ? It appears to be.:)

Andi - that is a very cool knife !:)

Thanks Sam

Hey Primble thanks, yes this last run of 77 Barlows is steel bolstered. This is the smooth autumn gold bone, which came out darker on these two blade versions than on the singles.

This awesome Case Humpback Stockman in Ebony that I received from Jake(supratentorial) last week. I'm really enjoying it.

What is that piece of metal sticking out of the frame by the tang? A fixed flat head screwdriver?

:thumbup: Great 77 and patina Sam.

I sold my AB 81 and regretted it. This one showed up last week but I was out of town. Thanks again Jeff (arizonaranchman). It feels great to have it it the back pocket against my wallet again!

Great knives everyone. A happy Thanksgiving Weekend to all my fellow Canadians!!!

Went with a pair of aces and some mammoth.
