What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Can I do your taxes please? :D

Wait-nevermind...
You'd prolly come take all of MY knives after I got done! ;)

I keep hoping they'll do a chestnut bone (jigged of course) version. They have expanded the offerings on the desk knife a bit this year.

I still need to get one for myself.

I've been eyeing the desk knives off this year and last too...some of them look very appealing.

Pulled out my 5-6 favorite Case knives this morning (a kind of Saturday ritual with me). After a cup of coffee and some thinking I settled on this one for the day. Although the swayback jack is looking to kick this one out of pocket before the day is over.

one of my new ones and a fav

#53 baron, hefty and sharp, very useful configration, I've no use for the awl but wanted the small blades to be opposite from the main one and this was the only one like this (recent one at least)

used it for some thread, the factory edge is very good, didn't need any touch ups and won't polish it for a while

I've had my eye on these for awhile and finally pulled the trigger. This William Scagel inspired Fruitport is gonna spend a few days in my pocket, I think.

The 1095 Wharncliffe blade came very sharp. With a few swipes on my strop it rivals any edge I have for sharpness. I like the thick, grippy stag. It really provides a good hold on the handle.

The blade slot makes this a real easy opener. There's plenty of tension on the backspring (I'd say a 5) but it pinches open with no strain.

Only one complaint; in the half stop position the backspring is about as far from flush as I could imagine. It couldn't have been an item they even considered, when doing a final inspection. Since it is flush in the closed and open positions, I'm likely to let it slide. I plan on it being a user and this flaw won't affect its use.

I added that one to my cart just last night, but haven't checked out yet- put the ebony dogleg jack in the cart as well, and one has to be dumped. Only one more for this month I'm afraid :(.

hehe I gave already almost everything this month too

I suggest you the knife strongly, it's a real beauty and beast, no ptoblems in putting it to works, came fairly sharp too, it's hefty but not that hefty to pull your pants down
you'll love it! buy it buy it! :D

I agree with Max. I don't have one of these but if you really want it, don't wait and miss out. I've already gotten more knives in March than I planned for this year... and the month ain't over yet :D

However, I've been carrying this one since I got it. Here's an updated pic.

going out again, taking the "easy" case stockman in molasses this time, the 53 is too hefty sometimes

Can't pull my pants down- I wear an instructors belt just so I can load up as much steel as I want.:D

... although I have been known to stand a wee bit crooked from time to time. ;)

I'm in the process of moving into a new house so this weekend my Scagel will see a lot of use. I broke down about 15 boxes with it last night alone and the edge was still nice this morning. A few swipes on my fine stone and it's ready for action. I also threw in my Case SBJ just for good measures.

I've had a Case humpback whittler in my pocket for a few weeks. I'm really happy with this knife but would love to have one in ebony wood with polished CV blades. My only complaint was that the corner of the spey blade was sharp. Not everyone will think this was a good idea but... I filed down the corner of the blade a bit so that it is more comfortable to grip when using the main blade.

Enabler. It should be enroute to me any time now. Back in a bit- gotta go hide my honey's pistol. ;) :D

I hope you don't tell her that, it would hurt her feelings

Nah, Mike, you got it all wrong...Some knives thrive on being up to the challenge of adverse conditions!

How was that for the ol' backpedal...? ;)
