Of all my Loveless inspired drop points, this Boker Leo IV is the only one that uses the original pattern from Bob.

1/4 in. thick, 600 layer, Leo IV damascus forged by Markus Balbach, the knife was assembled by German, custom knife maker Patrick Teyke. 925 sterling silver pins and guard, 600 layer inlays and rosewood burl handles.

I really like the lanyard on that pocket slip--great lashing! Does it loop around the belt for dangling in a pocket? How was the lanyard attached to the pocket slip?

Thanks, yes, it can loop around a belt or belt loop to keep it upright in the pocket.
When I cut the leather, I left an extra strip at the top on one side. I folded that over to make a small loop and sewed it along with the edge. The lanyard just goes through that, with a bead after to keep it upright.

Hope that makes sense. :)

Ron Thanks for the welcome! I end up going down there once in a while. My wife's family lives in Chattanooga. Always a fun drive! As for SMKW... let's just say that in the spring, I'm making a weekend of it. Between that, the Lodge Cast Iron outlet, a Coleman store and a gun range... I just can't resist. Been a while since I had a guy-weekend. I'm looking forward to it!

That Swayback its something else! I may have to add one to the short list!

Have a great weekend!

Case "Rough Black" Humpback Stockman #63046. Spear, spey and sheepfoot SS blades. Nickel silver bolsters, brass liners and "gum fuddy" covers which - according to Case - emulate the synthetic handle materials utilized during WWII when traditional materials were scarce. Pull is 9/10 on the spear blade, and 11/10 on the other two. Its a tough cookie to open.

I love this pattern, humpback and all. I have one with red barnyard bone. It gets carried a lot when I'm all "gussied up"...lol. I agree with you, too, of all of the Case knives I own, this pattern has the stiffest springs. Something I love about it personally! Have a great weekend!

I have my Ohta Gunstock with me today. Hope everyone is having a marvelous Saturday!

I'm going to be posting this one a lot because I don't see it leaving my pocket for a while, so I'll try and keep the pictures interesting. :D
