Two knives today. Cloudy here.

If you are wondering about the coin, I'm reading a multi-volume series set in the King George V era. Coin carried to set the mood.

Many thanks indeed to everybody for your kind comments and communications about my Hampton Teardrop. Kerry made a knife that's shockingly sharp, so much so that he had the humour to enclose a sticking-plaster for me with the knife :D:D

Here's the Pile side, not bad eh?

Fine composition:thumbup:

The GEC 83 lockback was the best release this year in my view. I got a wonderful Stag one but would've loved a Red one like that if I had had the money. Sensational bone and jigging, beauty !They're really exceptional knives, smaller but bigger:D:D

Thanks, Will

Thanks, Will. I agree about the 83. I first got an OD Linen Micarta one on the Exchange and was so impressed that I got this Autumn Leaf bone (which I had been eyeing for awhile) straight away. They are not flying off the shelves, but are steadily being sold out. Not a marketing comment, but evidence of how they are growing on folks. Thin, light, sturdy, beautiful and functional.

Always like seeing that nicely aged Primble Scout.:thumbup::)[/QUOTE

Thanks Primble, gorgeous pics from you as always  :).

Impressive photo, Tom; I sure admire a lot of your scout knives, including today's Primble!:thumbup:

Thank you Tim ! Very pretty TC Barlow !:)

Thank you Primble, these overcast days make for some nice photos. I'll have to one day figure out how you get such a 'harsh' effect in your setup ;)

Thanks Tim! I've never had a custom slipjoint and the price was right so I jumped on it. That Dowell is nice! I've always been a fan of that pattern.

...Some chocolate bock for me when the days get short in light and need some cheering.

Beautiful wood on your Charlow, Tim! That looks like a beer I'll have to check out some time. :p I was ecstatic today to discover at the grocery store that Leinenkugel Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is back on the shelf for its "seasonal" run.

...Thank you for the compliment GT. My pics of your litter - nice !:thumbup::)
...
Thanks, Primble. :)

Pocketing these two today :)

Excellent, Jack! I like all the recent attention you've been giving your 2014 Forum knife (and I like the way the shield is inset on yours). And I always admire the appearance of a Jack Black Black Jack! :D:thumbup:

Such splendid jigging on both those knives, Dean! I've been drooling over the stag 83s, but your bone version sure is striking!

Looks like you drew a pair of black aces today, Bill!

Splendid knives (and countertop), Kris! I'm glad you included a brief explanation of the "church key". I was thrown for a loop yesterday when I saw that in your photo instead of one of your usual gorgeous damascus openers!

Thanks for a second look, Will; stunning!!:thumbup:

Thanks, Tom. :) Took that photo on the dock where we vacation in August. Apparently the mayfly hatch was unusually big in the spring, covering the dock and drawing unusually large flocks of seagulls that "fouled the footpath". So the owners installed the rubber "wolf" to try to keep the gulls away; I guess it was mildly successful.

I think there's only one knife I'm totin' this week that I haven't shown yet. It's a relatively-new large (5" closed) Marbles lady leg knife with white bone and stag handles and a scrimshaw owl (don't tell pertinux ):

Thanks a lot GT! :D The Forum Knife has been long overdue for more pocket time, though I think the shield is the thing I like least about mine. I've sanded the worst of the sharp ridge created when the well was let in, but it's still a bit of a dirt trap. Here it is when I first got it

Jack: that would provide the perfect finger slot to gain all the leverage you could need to aid in opening if these were "bear trap" knives...

Just keep rubbing it while it's in your pocket and see how long it takes to get it flush!!
